Invisible Woman

I was playing with invisible woman and hulkbuster and I granted invisibility to both and still took a lot of damage from a Tommy gun ? I thought if you were invisible it wouldn't affect them?

Tommy Gun is AOE damage. Invisibility doesn't stop AOE.
