    LakeStone is out of town at the moment. I know I only pop in to bring occasional news and it's never the "Hey, here's something awesome!" kind of news, so if you just don't want to check my posts, that's fine.

    Sorry to say, but I probably won't be spending any more money on this game. Maybe, just maybe, during a sale.

    Beware the war cry of the master sword wielding, kangaroo riding, jellybean fueled diamond miner from Indonesia. The guy really feels like you are singling him out on this one. Yes, I have a picture for that. No, I can't show it for copyright reasons. Yes, he throws boomerangs sometimes. No, he isn't willing to swap out a kangaroo for a Cassowary..those things are deadly.

    Thats not true Electroblast! You've given us plenty of good posts, like Server Downtime Maintenence... uh... Steam Promotion...? Okay, what about Tournament and Patch Notes - 12/23? Oh wait, that was the week that IceIX was away. Um... *walks backwards slowly*

    So with the Australian dollar currently at 94us cents. We are for some reason being slugged an extra 30% over your US customers.
    Please explain why? At 94us cents we should be paying $106 Australian for a $99.99US Stark Salary .

    Totally fair question, but I don't have an answer just yet. This was a change to the pricing tiers which are controlled by Apple. We've reached out to try to find out why the conversion rate is not closer to the current actual conversion rates.

    The US price won't include a sales tax, while the Australian price might include Goods and Services Tax. That wouldn't account for all of the difference, though.

    Astronomical price hike. I would gladly fork out $50 AUD a fortnight to grab some Asgardian loot and support the team but this is just pushing it too far. No more spending from this Aussie MPQ fan.

    Exactly it wouldn't account for the different. I remember when Australian dollars was above the US 2 years ago and we still had to pay $1.29 for a game that the US of A pay 99c for. Australian tax is 10% max. and 10% of 100 is only $10 not $30. So even factoring in tax, we are still getting slap in the face.

    I've noticed that people outside of US pay considerably more for the same thing (factoring in currency conversion rates) in games like this. I don't know if it's a universal idea to take money from guys outside of the US or if there's actually a good reason to do it (like a VAT or whatever) but that's a very consistent theme across all games. I remember guys outside US (usually Euros) would ask if the US guys can buy the game for them and send over the code and they'd pay us back because it's considerably more expensive for them to buy it, even when the product is distributed digitially.

    A Stark Salary is currently £69.99, roughly $124AU so you arent the only territory that is being charged over the odds.

    Yes but we are the territory being charge HIGHEST over the odds.
