Chat improvement

The chat option in an alliance is much appriciated, it just needs slight improvements:

When I read back messages (on the bottom of the list) it ALWAYS popps back to the top as soon as someone writes another chat message.

Can it be archieved to disable that feature?

It's strange that the chat is so slow and require "multitap" to write things. It's not a very functional chat.
