Really. 50 bucks....

I know Dovan was 50 but he was new. but nissa was less...so was chandra.

This is a PW that will benefit the community greatly in a lot of your stupid events where her combo with red is needed.

Shame......as expect by greedy D3...but still a shame

Nissa and Chandra were less because they're single colour, dual colour PWs have always been more expensive (ref. crystal costs).

Still though, the price is absurd, and even more so down here where it's 79.99 AUD. Going by the exchange rate, 50 USD comes out to 65 AUD at the moment.

Nice to know it's not just the crystal prices we're getting the short stick on.

Us poor Aussies. So sad. icon_e_sad.gif. I wouldn't have minded getting saheeli for even $50 AUD. But $80???? No way.

It's also not a surprise. Every dual color can be expected to cost 50 USD when released. Seriously, she'll be available for crystals soon enough. This offer is for people who can afford it and care enough to spend that much on a pw. That's obviously not you, so just roll your eyes and move on.

While I agree that other dual-colored PWs have been about the same price, it really would have been a good time for the Devs to throw us a bone here. We've been getting bugged cards, events with broken or mislabeled objectives that should have been caught, bugs in events or card packs that aren't fixed before the next time they come around, seemingly impossible event objectives if you don't have the right OP cards, and ongoing issues that don't seem like they are trying to fix all that quickly. The Devs have a lot of goodwill that they need to build up, and giving us Saheeli for an actual decent price might have gone a long way towards making people happy.

The Devs seriously need to look at the attitudes of the players on the boards here, and try to find some way to repair relations. Otherwise, I don't know how much longer this game will last.

Considering all the planeswalkers we expect to get from the Aether Revolt set (Ajani is white-green, and Tezzeret is black-blue) are dual color, this means $150 if you want to get all three. Yes dual-color planeswalkers are great. They're flexible and worth trying to get your hands on, but also when you look at how much all of them will cost over the coming weeks, I can see where people might have been benefited, and the company might make more money selling customers all three at a slightly reduced cost. Maybe $40 instead of $50.

No, this means $150 if you want to get all three on release day. If someone would rather not foot the bill for that, all they have to do is wait until the PW is in the vault and obtain them for crystals. This allows for either a significant discount, or even completely free!

Assuming you don't have the crystals, and assuming you buy the crystals as they come into the store you're still looking at about $30 a piece to get them, or $90. Having mana crystals to spare assumes you have placed high enough in events at the right tier, which obviously not everyone will do, and that you've had no other things to spend crystals on, again if you're not placing high enough in events, you really only get a big bulk of cards by buying a big box of cards for 600 crystals.

Either way, my point is that with all the upcoming and the most recent planeswalkers being multicolored, it would have been a nice nod to the players to have a small discount for them when purchased with cash or crystals the first time around the store.

It seems enough people are buying the new dual color PW for 50 $.
Otherwise we would probably see the price drop, I guess.

    Regards!

I've seen a few of my Aussie friends have Swaheeli show up as $50. Apparently the prices decreased. I personally think its a visual bug, and the American prices are showing up, but if its not then they can grab a Swaheeli for under $40 USD

Is this true? I haven't done a thorough analysis, but a big box gives packs at a roughly 40 crystal per pack rate. (It's somewhat complicated bt the bonus small set pack, which is probably worth more than a big set pack.) The current event, Oath of the Gatewatch part 1, pays out 90 crystals, two boosters, and a rare for its progression rewards at platinum. A rare being worth more than a pack, it seems like the event pays out over 120 crystals worth of cards, but only 90 crystals. Are other events more crystal-heavy?
