Guideso this deck is a removal-heavy life gain sorin. the objective is to play a bunch of lifelink creatures and then use your ultimate to make them huge. Along the way you will have to kill opposing threats so that you make it to your ultimate. every card in the deck has a pretty simple specific purpose, here's a list!
Lone Rider: lifelink creature
Indulgent Aristocrat: lifelink creature
Farbog Revenant: lifelink creature
call the bloodline: makes lifelink creatures
campaign of vengeance: gains life
silverstrike: kills stuff AND gain life
forsaken sanctuary: ramps
Humble the Brute: card draw and kills stuff
whispers of emrakul: disrupts your opponents hand
ruthless disposal: kills lotsa stuff.
very simple deck, but effective nonetheless!0 -
Here is my midlevel bronze/silver Sorin deck of uncommon and rare cards: https://mtgpq.info/deck/detail/bg7
These cards feed each other, gaining strength and healing Sorin each turn. Sorin's abilities vampiric strength /power synergies with these very well. It is easy to get 30 to 50 damage in per turn once you have three cards and a support or two set up.
Good for high level monsters and ops with 2x damage.0 -

Sorin, Grim Nemesis (Level 60)
Creatures
Olivia, Mobilized for War
Gisela, the Broken Blade
Lone Rider
Spells
Behold the Beyond
Deploy the Gatewatch
To the Slaughter
Whispers of Emrakul
Supports
Corrupted Grafstone
Silverstrike
Campaign of Vengeance
Sorin loves lifelink and therefore the 3 creatures chosen are all those which provide lifelink. Lone rider and Gisela are very efficient creatures for their costs and Olivia is amazing and can give haste. While getting your creatures out, you can delay and control using To the Slaughter, Whispers of Emrakul and Silverstrike. Corrupted Graftsone gives you some mana fixing, which helps to fill the cost of Deploy the Gatewatch to bring the team out. Behold the Beyond is good for digging for answers (like slaughter and whispers), as well as filling up some mana on your creatures and Deploy. Campaign of Vengeance pairs very well with Sorin's 3rd ability, which helps your creatures get out of hand very quickly!0 -
Sorin, Grim Nemesis lvl. 60
Mid to upper level Gold tier
Creatures
Serene Steward
Bloodbond Vampire
Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet*
Olivia, Mobilized for War*
Supports
Suppression Bonds
Campaign of Vengeance
Call of the Bloodline
Spells
To the Slaughter
Unlicensed Disintegration
Swift Reckoning
This deck is full of cards with low mana cost making them easy to get on the board. The goal is to take advantage of Sorin's second ability and the abilities of Serene Steward and Bloodbond Vampire while disabling and/or killing off any threats. Since his abilities are dependent on having creatures out, I gave him low cost creatures that could buff themselves or others wherever he gained life.
Low cost kill spells help easily keep opponent creatures under control while the cheap supports provide additional life gain and lifelink creatures.
*these mythic creatures can easily be replaced by lifelink creatures of lower values (uncommon/rare), while they are nice if you have them they are only here for the lifelink ability.0 -

Sorry to say this dude, but a lot of those cards are not from the SOI/EMN block.0 -
Yeah I know. Just putting it out there. Never bothered with the deck building challenges but I'm bored and just posting all over the forum. Damned maintenance.0

This is my Level 60 Sorin Deck. It is very powerful and wins by gaining life and using that to trigger abilities that make creatures huge. Also, Sorin's Planeswalker abilities can help a lot with this, especially his second one. Have fun!

Serene Steward

Then it should be posted in the normal Sorin deck building thread. It just clutters the thread otherwise, and knowing the quality control around here, they might accidentally pick yours0 -

I can't stop laughing.
Sorry about that. You are right though. It should be moved.0 -
Sorin, Grim Nemesis
Level 1
Lone Rider
Crow of Dark Tidings
Paranoid Parish-Blade
Pious Evangel
Wicker Witch
Stern Constable
True-Faith Censer
Hope Against Hope
Give No Ground
Grotesque Mutation
Deck playstyle
At level 1 you have no abilities but Sorin starts off with 8/3/3 creatures/spells/supports which is much more flexible than most other planeswalkers at the same level. You want creatures that have good power-to-mana ratios and also aren't too expensive lest they take too many turns to summon out. Bear in mind your own colour matches for only 5 mana at this level.
Nonetheless your spells and support boost the capabilities of your creatures by a fair bit. True-Faith Censer will give its bonus +1/+0 for Humans to most of your creatures. Couple that with First Strike from Hope Against Hope to have a pretty sturdy defender for this level. Grotesque Mutation increases damage and gives you life gain when necessary and Give no Ground will help your First Strike creatures take out opponent creatures for a turn.
Notable cards/combos
Humans + True-Faith Censer + Hope Against Hope: True-Faith Censer and Hope Against Hope respectively give Humans +1/+0 and First Strike. Coupled with the basic boosts from the two cards and you can end up having a pretty strong blocker in your first slot.
Lone Rider: This creature has a lot of potential because it's 4 mana for a creature with Life Link and First Strike. While it starts off as a 1/1, it Transforms into a 4/4 which also gains Trample on top of the above attributes. This makes it a very solid deal for 4 mana. Further copies summoned to the board will also get transformed by the attacks of the first copy. Also, the initial form is Human meaning it benefits from the bonus from True-Faith Censer which would help it transform when it attacks.
Level 40
Olivia, Mobilized for War
Diregraf Colossus
Prized Amalgam
Diregraf Harvest
Corrupted Grafstone
Tamiyo's Journal
Silverstrike
From Under the Floorboards
To the Slaughter
Give No Ground
Deck playstyle
At level 40 you gain access to your planeswalker abilities and increased mana gains. For Sorin, this is all built around life gain. His second ability gains you life each creature that attacks on your turn. His third ability boosts your creatures by +3/+0 each time you gain life. Silverstrike and From Under the Floorboards both gain you life when triggered. Olivia will grant your creatures Life Link when summoned after her.
The side theme in this deck is zombies. Diregraf Harvest ensures that Prized Amalgam will always return to play whereas Diregraf Colossus will benefit from the constant summoning of zombies.
To the Slaughter and Silverstrike your primary creature removal with Give No Ground helping to block enemy flyers when necessary. Corrupted Grafstone and Tamiyo's Journal work hand in hand as ramp and draw respectively.
Notable cards/combos
Olivia, Mobilized for War: Olivia is a massively strong creature because of her ability to grant your creatures Life Link, Flying, Haste and +3/+3 at the cost of discarding a card. With your creatures having Life Link, the opponent needs to deal twice the damage to you in order to be on par on damage. Her abilities also work on tokens which makes your token summoners that much stronger if you have the card draw to support it.
Prized Amalgam + Diregraf Harvest: These two cards form an immensely strong combination to grow your board and block enemy creatures at the same time. Diregraf Harvest summons a 2/2 Zombie token whenever one of your creature dies. That triggers Prized Amalgam's ability to rise from your graveyard, even if it was Prized Amalgam who was the creature killed that triggered the 2/2 Zombie summon. In this way Prized Amalgam is forever present as a blocker on your board and each time it dies, your Zombie token grows bigger and bigger.
Level 60
Olivia, Mobilized for War
Gisela, the Broken Blade
Lone Rider
Corrupted Grafstone
Forsaken Sanctuary
Tamiyo's Journal
Silverstrike
From Under the Floorboards
To the Slaughter
Behold the Beyond
Deck playstyle
At level 60, you gain access to your planeswalker's full potential. For Sorin, this is all built around life gain. His second ability gains you life each creature that attacks on your turn. His third ability boosts your creatures by +4/+0 each time you gain life. Silverstrike and From Under the Floorboards both gain you life when triggered. Olivia will grant your creatures Life Link when summoned after her.
Corrupted Grafstone and Forsaken Sanctuary together help as ramp and to gain loyalty more quickly to hit your third ability earlier. All your creatures have Life Link whereas Olivia can grant your Zombie tokens from From Under the Floorboards Life Link also.
Tamiyo's Journal and Behold the Beyond help you to draw into the cards you need quickly to set up your board whereas Silverstrike and To the Slaughter work as creature removal.
Behold the Beyond: For 15 mana, you discard your hand and draw 6 cards, each gaining 6 mana. That's a net gain of 21 mana which is hugely significant. Black also has various means of recurring creatures from the graveyard which means the discards are not a big concern. Being able to discard a hand of ineffective cards for a fresh hand of cards you do need is a very strong ability.0 -
Detail - The deck build around these theory
1.AI will use 1st ability the most and sometime 2nd. Sorin try to gain life and mana(although he has no creature) which is fit for token strategy.
2.The deck for each Planeswalker must also contain only cards of the expansion it came in. It suppose to face the deck in the same condition.
3.AI can't order combo. So we avoid complicated play.
