Just realized that this challenge is just for the block the PW was debuted in, and I don't know which set Tezzeret was first put in, since I'm fairly new, so I'm just going to slink away in shame.0

Deck Name:Tezzeret Rescued by Tentacles
Deck Type: End Game
Card Set: Battle for Zendikar/Oath of the Gatewatch
Planewalker: Tezzeret the Seeker
Spells
Exert Influence
Adverse Conditions
Aligned Hedron Network
Crush of Tentacles
Clutch of Currents
Creature
Incubator Drone
Supports
Prism Array
Part the Waterveil
Shrine of the Forsaken Gods
Oath of Jace
I started off wanting to create a support heavy deck for Tezzeret but realized it's hard to do that for limitation imposed on card sets. So it ended up as a spell support deck with one creature.
The strategy to this deck is nothing unique. Ultimate goal is to win by Crush by Tentacles. But due to its cost and Tezzeret's weak mana gain, the rest of the cards in the deck serve to buy time.
The only creature, Incubator Drone blocks 2 attack, gain 3 mana in the process and draws a card. Good card to buy time.
Prism Array is mainly to keep cards coming in when a landfall is triggered. Disabling a creature in the process is a bonus.
Adverse Conditions disable a creature and summon a blocker that can help gain another 3 mana.
Oath of Jace is to allow card draw and mana drain to delay the opponent further.
Shrine of Forsaken Gods is there to speed up the mana gain.
Clutch of currents, Aligned Hedron Network and Exert Influence are for additional creature control. If your opponent has good creatures, Exert Influence can finish the job and Tezzeret doesn't need to be saved by his Octopus pet.
Part the Waterveil is simply there to gain additional mana if you're that lucky.
This deck is definitely not going to be able to outshine some other decks formed using other Planewalkers. Tezzeret is slow and vulnerable but since there are 2 OP mythics, it will still be able to beat decks that are not aggressive enough. Crush by Tentacles may need to be used a few times before victory and using Tezzeret's final ability does help to finish things off faster.0 -
Tezzert the Seeker (Level 60)
Creatures
Drowner of Hope
Spells
Crush of Tentacles
Exert Influence
Scatter to the Winds
Adverse Conditions
Supports
Part the Waterveil
Prism Array
Sunken Hollow
Shrine of the Forsaken Gods
Oath of Jace
Idea with this deck is to annoy your opponent by either stealing their creatures, bouncing/killing them with Crush of Tentacles, disabling them with Drowner of Hope, Adverse Conditions and/or Prism Array, or draining their mana with Scatter to the Winds. Supports help with card draw with Oath of Jace and Prism Array, mana gain with Shrine of the Forsake Gods and Sunken Hollow. Part the Waterveil will provide mana as well as board presence whenever you make a 5 match.0 -
Tezzeret the Seeker
Level 1
Coralhelm Guide
Oracle of Dust
Pathway Arrows
Retreat to Coralhelm
Strider Harness
Dampening Pulse
Skyline Cascade
Sandstone Bridge
Coastal Discovery
Adverse Conditions
Deck playstyle
At level 1 you have no abilities and a restrictive deck composition. Tezzeret starts off with 2/2/6 creatures/spells/supports. You want creatures that have good power-to-mana ratios and also aren't too expensive lest they take too many turns to summon out. Bear in mind your own colour matches for only 4 mana at this level.
The supports in the deck help to boost your creatures' damage (Strider's Harness) while delaying your opponent's creatures through reducing their power (Dampening Pulse), disabling them (Pathway Arrows, Retreat to Coralhelm, Skyline Cascade) and providing ramp (Sandstone Bridge, Skyline Cascade).
Adverse Conditions helps you disable target creature, allowing you to slow down the opponent's deck further while summoning a 1/1 Eldrazi Scion to fill out your third creature slot.
Level 40
Drowner of Hope
Deepfathom Skulker
Jori En, Ruin Diver
Shrine of the Forsaken Gods
Sunken Hollow
Shambling Vent
Prairie Stream
Prism Array
Clutch of Currents
Scour from Existence
Deck playstyle
At level 40 you gain access to your planeswalker abilities and increased mana gains. Tezzeret's abilities revolve around supports. Thankfully Blue has a good selection of supports to choose from.
Shrine of the Forsaken Gods provides ramp while Sunken Hollow, Shambling Vent and Prairie Stream provide ramp as well as loyalty gain. Loyalty is likely to be used on the second ability during setup to help summon out your supports onto the field while the third ability is the more likely one to be triggered when you want to end the match.
Prism Array converts landfalls into card draw while disabling the opponent's first creature. Jori En, Ruin Diver and Deepfathom Skulker also provide draw while Drowner of Hope is your crowning creature to disable your opponent's creatures for a turn and dish out the damage from then on. Clutch of Currents and Scour from Existence work as creature control.
Level 60
Drowner of Hope
Kozilek, the Great Distortion
Jori En, Ruin Diver
Shrine of the Forsaken Gods
Sunken Hollow
Shambling Vent
Prairie Stream
Prism Array
Clutch of Currents
Scour from Existence
Deck playstyle
At level 60, you gain access to your planeswalker's full potential. For Tezzeret, this is still all about supports supports supports.
Jori En, Ruin Diver and Kozilek also provide draw while Drowner of Hope helps disable your opponent's creatures for a turn and recoup the bulk of its mana when the 4/4 Eldrazi Scion dies. Clutch of Currents and Scour from Existence work as creature control.
Notable cards/combos
Kozilek, the Great Distortion: Kozilek is massive at 12/12, and hence is great for Blue, and the Activate 5 ability is easily triggered by all the gem converters for some bonus mana gain. The Trap ability doesn't hurt either.0 -
Detail - The deck build around these theory
1.AI will use 1st ability the most and sometime 2nd. Tezz increase shield of support, unique and good for ctrl deck
2.The deck for each Planeswalker must also contain only cards of the expansion it came in. It suppose to face the deck in the same condition.
3.AI can't order combo. So we avoid complicated play.
