Hey Everyone,

Lately I've seen more and more people trying to use this feature, for instance @Brigby, but I just wanted to take the time to send out a Public Service Announcement regarding this.

Unfortunately the @Mentions feature is not something we currently have available on our forum. It is definitely something we are looking to incorporate in the future, but as of right now, using the @ symbol to try and tag or notify a user will not work as we do not have that capability yet.

Thank you for understanding!
Brigby

Ah well. I always used it just in case. Never hurts to try right? But thank you for letting everyone know for sure

    I figured everyone knew this.

I just use it because I figured you read every post like we do. icon_e_wink.gif

    Why can't I quote @octal9's signature?

Just want to say thanks for the upcoming features link. icon_e_wink.gif

Still, people can send messages directly to my ICQ, so, swings and roundabouts.

I stopped using Trillian when MSN instant messenger kept finding ways to lock it out.

Can you discuss your old age on priv, without going off-topic?

@Brigby: I think most people don't expect anyone to receive an alert, they just want to show that a part of their message is directed to you (or someone else). Writing 'Brigby, (...)' is so old-school :P

Understandable. I have seen some people decide to highlight my name in red, which actually does catch my attention pretty well when I'm going through the forum.
