HI,
I'm starting again from the scratch (I was playing on steam on my PC and now I have android account) and I need some advice regarding my rooster.

As for now I have:

1* Juggernaut 5/5 lvl 40
2* Storm 3/5/5 lvl 94, champion
2* Daken 4/5/2 lvl 78
2* Thor 5/3/3 lvl 78
2* Captain Marvel 1/4/5 lvl 71
2* Black Widow 3/2/4 lvl 62
2* Wolverine 2/3/4 lvl 62
2* Ares 2/2/3 lvl 46

And some low lvl 3* like Thanos, Luke Cage, Cap Marvel, Steve Rogers, all only 2-3 covers, and some single 4*. All together 23 toons in my rooster.
Question is simple - what should I do next and on what should I focus?

Play daily and focus on PvE (story) and DDQ. You should be able to hit max progression in PvE without much of an issue (even if you miss 4*, if you miss 3 and 4* it might be tricky). That way you will develop your roster.

Don't spend the CP and legendary tokens you might get - you are not there yet so they will not help at all.

For PvP - try it, do as much as you can, don't worry about the result - just get some resources there.

Important: don't spend the Hero points on anything but hero slots. When you have enough for another one - open some tokens and roster the 2-3-4 star you are getting from that. Otherwise stash the tokens as well untill you have HP to add something you might draw. Goal is to have all 2-3-4-5 rostered.

Champion all 2* as they give you a shot at big enchillada in DDQ. It's a slow process and if you rush it (by pouring iso into 4* or drawing 5*) you might be discouraged by the game... And maybe it's for the best icon_e_wink.gif

Focus on 2* for now. Ares, obw, magneto and hawkeye worth champing. Maybe cap too since you have covers for the 3*.

Chase covers for im40, cap, cage and iron fist. But hold off putting iso into them until you are ready to run them in pairs. The four mentioned cage/fist and cap/im40 are great duos.

    I'd hoard cp/LT for now.

Do you plan on playing pvp? Is HP an issue?

Like mention, on previous replies, don't open LT and CP for the moment. Keep heropointsbig.png only for opening roster slots for now.
At the moment, I would recommend you to focus on your star.pngstar.png and champ all of them. The champ rewards will help you to acquire more resources.
When done with them, keep adding star.pngstar.pngstar.png.
You should focus on PvE for the moment also and end the prologue chapters for the resources.
Most importantly, play at your own pace and keep playing as long you enjoy the game.

Most is already said. I would also champ every 2*, but Bagman... Maybe later, it is hard to get him anyway.

I use Moonstar or Cap Marvel or other seldom used characters in the moment often with Dr. Strang3 for example against nodes with goons. So my main fighters can rest till they are needed.

I had no problem to add a 4* or 3* and sell it later while bringing my 2* into my roster. Especially if they are useful in the special PVE node. I'm into 3* transition and never did miss the 4*. And again same, first 3* and adding only 4* if I do have the place.

Sometimes it was useful to add a 3* for DDQ, but sold him after DDQ, so I could add another cover, but still have the other from DDQ later to add.

Try to get few days between the last character in your waiting queue before you add a new one. But this is not so easy, especially if every few days from PVE or PVP you get a new cover.

With this I got a big roster within 83 days. (I have VIP and bought twice for 20€ some HP when there was a boosted offer...)

It's been oft stated that this game rewards saving. If you can hit the gameplay balance where you have 1kHP every other week for the new toon, and spend the excess on rostering the ones in your queue,{trying to limit your queue to prize specific covers and champ awards } you will stay in front of the req'd character rollover and in 3-6months you'll have cycled through and have a full enough roster to go all Ash-in-evil-dead chainsaw mode;R-R-R-r-rip through your packs and points to break right through to 4* coverage. In a couple months there will be a 5* release that will be really awesome, choose this time to spend. Your cp's will be getting a 10% chance at the new toon and then your LT's can try and finish off in Latest Legends. You'll see the fallout of over coverage and priority right away and strategically target which characters to champ, avoiding waste & emotional distress. I think it reasonable you could get a fully covered 5* character to build a defensive 4* team around to start earning PvP awards, you'll have full coverage of req'd node chars, and your 3*s will then be yielding champ returns.

    Until then:
-don't level up unless needed for progression or champ, keep your numbers low for scaling and your iso ready to use where needed.

    -Complete all of the prequel

-Use Lightning rounds to gain 2* covers, iso and exp but push to earn the 3* awards in events, don't worry about placing or max prog.

-Farm the 2*s as soon as you can. I found that I had surplus iso at the start, drop this into a farm system now and you'll be able to reap the 65k+HP back when you are really iso pressed and there are champ-able covers on the vine. When your champ gets to about 130 hold off on putting covers into them until you have 13 covers in the queue( you can apply color heavy and expiring covers to the existing champ so none go to waste) and commit to another roster slot. I like to hold fully champed 2's like a blue mana battery, I'll tap em and use them when I really need it rather than for general expansion. Having two OBW's to bounce between can be a huge help.

-Roster them ALL as they come. Be a miser about opening packs until you have the HP to keep rostering. Consider if you love the game enough to throw down on a Stark Salary when they come on sale, the pace of keeping and using resources totally opens up. you can join a buyers alliance and net a bunch of cp too.
    - - KEEP THE *****5 STARS!!! People on this forum scare with grotesque tales of overscaled goon waves and Lvl. 890 Juggs. Horror stories of single hit kills from 175k hp Yelena! Yet equally loud are wails of needing one more cover to champ and counting the odds as impossible to ever complete their classic. Once you get rolling through the 3* progression, having a 255lvl character won't destroy your gameplay and much later when your looking at moving on up to 5*PvP, you'll be glad you held them. Even as meat shields they can help you progress. Just whatever you do: don't put iso into them at all!!
    - - keep the lam-o characters too! the time will come when Rags/spidey/sentry will be the req'd and having them will make your progression so much easier. A strong Raggedy Andy and loki are great for lightning Rounds!

    -Tokens:
    - - open standards all day long; just don't buy them!
    - - I would open tacos; I get HP more often than anything 3*or better.
    - - Horde the LT's for now: the current system can't hold the weight of their over zealous release schedule, and changes might be coming before your ready for 4*s.
    - - I am bitter about the Heroic Tokens: I feel like all they are good for is hawkeye and daken (which are fine if your farming) but I know better so save these as well, they might be a good stress reliever from piling up all your LT's to pop open a bunch and roster maybe a couple of 4****.
    - - I am bullish on Elite tokens as it SEEMS like I get gold more often. I've had cool synergy where I open an elite for a 2* champ level that rewards an Heroic that gives you a 3* champ that rewards a 4*cover (haaay Peggy!; didn't expect you so soon!)

    As the above poster said;

    Tokens:
    - open all standard tokens first
    - open elite tokens next - these are your bread and butter right now
    - only open heroic tokens (and only 1 at a time) if you have enough HP saved to buy 2 (two) roster slots, just in case you open a 4* (seems good, but is not actually good right now).
    - never open Legendary Tokens. Well, not for a looooong time, anyway

The 4*s that you get from here are exciting, but are actually a complete anchor on your progress at this point. They are almost entirely unusable, and tie up HP and roster slots that could otherwise be generating valuable "income" for you in the form of HP and CP. The 4* covers will expire in 2 weeks if you can't roster them, but the tokens will never expire. So, for now, use your HP (and iso) to roster and champion all your 2*s (and 3*s)- it will pay off in the long run.

If you do this, be aware that it will slow down your 3* development a bit so that you will have the iso to champ your 2*s when you need it. Save now, to make more later.

About what was said about keeping 5*, if you do not open LT, you will not get any for a long time... I would not keep 5*'s, before some characters are also near Level 255. So best level to open LT would be from my point of view if some characters reach level 200 or higher and if you have space in your roster free.

If you get Dr. Strang3, think about spending few times 20CP for his Yellow. From the moment I pushed Yellow to 5, everything got much easier...

Sell all 1* but one if you need roster space. Keep Juggernaut, Spidey or Iron Man for the first DDQ node. I kept only Iron Man, but mostly because I didn't like Juggernaut.

Best combinations I played so far are
    2* Storm, 2* Magneto and 2* Hawkeye

    2* Thor + 2* Black Widow + someone else as a second 2* team...

2* CaP Amerika is very usefull with his Blue and Red for overwriting Count Down Tiles (for example of Goons) as long you do not have Dr. Strang3

    Later:
3* Iron Man, Daken, 2* Wolverine.

Dr. Strang3 vs Goons, together with any high hitpoint character, trying not to get Dr. Strang3 hit as much as possible.

Dr. Strang3 and 3* Thanos are also a cool combination

About Gray Tokens, I had early 90k iso-8 and nothing to spend, so I spend over 70k on Gray Tokens. I got many 1*, but also many 2* and few 3*. Also did it later again and again with few thousand iso-8. Shortly after starting the transition into 3* I stopped doing it! It made it for me easy to get the 2* very fast champed. (But I decided also never to spend any money in a Casino if I would ever enter one!) icon_e_biggrin.gif Can't say it is good to do it, only my experience I had with buying them...

    Thanks for all replies.

So should I recruit more 2* and ignore 3* with the exception for the really good ones like 3* IM?
I've champed 2* Thor, Storm and Daken so far, the rest is hard to draw, even Miss Marvel who is rather easy to get :/. I have a few 2* Magneto, CA, Hawkeye and Torch covers. But still I'm not so sure I should add them to my rooster and pour ISO into them.

I'm saving legendary tokens and CP like you said, and I only spent HP for rooster slots.

In pvp I'm in the first 50 mostly and I've gained some rewards from the simulator.

Also I got a VIP and finished proloque some time ago.

I would recruit all 2* once and if possible before you start with 3*. Only exception is Bagman (you get him to seldom). Make all 2* into champs, all bring you 3x 3* covers and don't forget to plan adding them.

I would sell 3* and 4* if you can't roster them. You get them later again. Hold the good 3* if possible, but do not sell any 2* for them. Sell 4* if you must do it. They will be not used for a long time.

Same later with 3* add them all to you roster, level them as high as your highest 2* till you make your first 3* champ. (Maybe not Ragnarok as I did, but he got first all covers...)

If possible wait with champ levels for the 2* till you have more than one near LVL 94. I do not know at what level exactly, but after champing my first 2* the difficulty got much worse. (Maybe only my subjective perception.)

Your first priority is to develop a solid 2* team that has great synergy.

Hawkeye, magneto, storm is a good one (magneto's purple makes match-5s for Hawkeye's speed shot, and generates blue for storm's AE). Personally, I used 2* black widow (OBW), Thor (or Ares), and Daken as my main team for a long time (daken can tank tiles for OBW, who can heal the team and steal AP for Thor to dish out as damage). I could beat The Big Enchilada with them when they were in their mid-70s.

After that, you should prioritize rostering 3*s over 2*s, with the exception of the lousy ones (ragnarok, Sentry, etc). They are your path forward. Grab the 2*s when you can, but if you have to choose between rostering a mid-range 3* or a lousy (moonstone) 2*, take the 3*. You should be able to roster all of the 2*s gradually - you will have hundreds of 2* covers later, but roster spots (and HP) will be the limiting factor. It is much easier to justify a spot for moonstone when she only costs you 400 HP, not 1000. Also, get into an alliance if you don't already have one - it literally does not matter which one at this point, as long as it is reasonably active. The rewards are worth it.

As far as ISO goes - put it into your main team only. You should not "waste" ISO on 2*s that you never use, *until* they are max-covered with extra covers in the queue, AND you have ISO to spare (there are several stages in the game where you are awash in ISO, for a time at least).

Try to avoid getting 4*s for now, if you can. If you happen to get a top-tier one (iceman, red hulk) then by all means roster it, but don't waste spots on 4*s like Wasp or Drax at this point.

Do the Deadpool's Daily quest missions every day - they are a good source of iso, tokens, covers, and even HP sometimes. I kept a flex spot open on my roster so that I could temporarily roster even lousy characters like ragnarok, if they were the required 3* character of the day so that I could earn extra taco tokens and iso.

In PVP you will "graduate" soon to the big boy competition brackets, and your PVP scores will plummet. Don't be discouraged by this - it's normal, albeit frustrating. Keep plugging away at it, and you'll be able to get the 4k season award again when you are mid-3*.
