This is too good to keep to myself.
Just getting in a bit of MMR tanking in the old SHIELD Training, running underleveled teams through matches just to see how it pans out. So far I've managed 2 wins.
The first, I took 54 Daken (5/5), 54 X-Force (1/1/2) and 65 2* Cap (3/5/5) up against 85 2* Thor, 100 Patch and 100 Hulk. This came down to the old "let them match green" tactic. I also ended up with 19 yellow really quite early, might have been the result of a 5+ match, so I placed the protect tiles far apart rather than using them for a match. Opposing matches were 1 damage and from there it was just a battle of attrition.
The second is my favourite. My team consisted of 60 Classic Storm (5/5/3), 60 Hood (4/5/1) and 52 Modern Hawkeye (5/5/3) (in that order, so Hawkeye was avoiding onto The Hood) in what must be the lowest HP total team I've taken to a victory in a PvP match up. I was facing 85 OBW, 85 Classic Storm and ~100 Gold Thor. I really don't know how I didn't get slaughtered in this one, but what I can tell you is popping Hawkeye's CD tiles with Intimidation is great.
I'm going to halt my "Heroic Simulator" fun there and see if I manage a defensive win from that team (it's a pity that this week is the heroes LR's, otherwise I'd use it on the seed teams and be guaranteed that other people run into it). Anyway, regale us all with your own battle stories and tales of intrigue!

How did you avoid angering cStorm with Hawkeye's AoE damage, stun her first?0

Yep. Electric Arrow, followed by Intimidation > Blast Arrow.
My team was certainly super squishy, but Storm + OBW doesn't exactly present a wall of HP.0 -
I attacked Jachdo's team of (I think) Patch, Classic Magneto, and someone else with my own patch/ magneto team. I had been fighting for a while and most of my guys were around 3/4 health for a while when I went in. I target magneto first, obviously while trying to grab green and deny purple. But purple just kept falling into his lap. I could see he had his magnetic Translocation all set up, when I berserker raged on him. He still had HP left, and I looked through the available matches to see what would be enough to drop him. I made the match, but I had miscalculated. Cmags had LITERALLY 1 HP left. Magnetic Translocation kills my own magneto, then the AI mops up my guys. It was hilarious. 1 hit point.0

I can't really say that I can remember any of my battles. It's a match 3 game, you win-you lose you move on. Most of the time when I snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, it's normally from rushing, my own stupidity or just plain rotten bad luck (ie bad board & cascades) - the 1st 2 reasons sure you learn from it but bad luck is well bad luck and there's nothing to take away from that.
But having said that, I'm more inclined to say that the metagame is far more interesting and memorable. Skulking outside the top 10 to somehow game the bracket leader into thinking that it's an uncompetitive round, making a last minute push in pve and taking that last game and watching the clock tick down to take a top 2 position - that's far more memorable than a random match 3 game that I won or lost.0
