Thanks. The Battle Logs look pretty fascinating--much more in-depth than I anticipated.

Hey Everyone. Sorry for the delay. We had to make sure everything about the uploaded images were approved (thumbnails, icons, even the order Mana is displayed [WUBRG] )

Does this mean they will finally fix the WUBRG order everywhere in the game? It drives me crazy every time I look at mana gains on PW.

I like the battle log feature. It looks much better than i thought it would be. And now players will be able to share insane AI turns with proof. It may help them see that players also get insane turns sometimes.
  • Question - will the battle log allow you to view what happens when someone else plans against your deck?

Unfortunately not - but that's a really interesting idea!

Can't wait for all the said changes be implemented, especially deck slots, which is THE pain in the **** as of now with new events with new objectives. Definitely on the right track, devs. Thanks for your hard work icon_e_biggrin.gif

Thank you for playing Magic the Gathering: Puzzle Quest!
also, another quick question, why'd you leave my favourite card,Prized Unicorn out of MtGPQ? can you please fix this? MTGPQ needs the Unicorn.

Sorry, no unicorns yet - but how about a majestic goat? (Also, thanks octal9 for the amazing website!)

Not only Planeswalkers fit the restrictions of the Event, the deck should be event deck (decks of the Planeswalkers joined the event), non-event deck should be excluded.

We're planning on moving in this direction. I'll (hopefully) have more details in the next developer's thread.

Glad to hear there are plans to make time zones less of an issue for ties in events but the other issue with them is that there is very little time between the last refresh and the end of the game. This means people are having to do things like wake up in the middle of the night to play if they want to help out their coalition. Are there plans to address this? West coast USA (PST time) is especially bad with the last refresh being at 1 am and the events ending a 7am. Can you consider making events end 12 hours after the final refresh so everyone can participate?

Are there any plans to change the way we are forced to scroll through our entire roster of planeswalkers in order to select different ones?

    It's becoming quite tedious.

A simple list view would do wonders.

Now that we have the battle log can we please get the animations sped up again? The newbs can now see what they may have missed from quick animations so I see no reason for the game to remain so slow.

What's up next for Magic: The Gathering - Puzzle Quest?
We are adding a Battle Log to the game to help de-mystify matches - especially for new players. During an encounter, the Battle Log will keep track of the cards that you and your opponent played, as well as other critical information about the battle. You can access the Battle Log at any time during an encounter, letting you review cards and actions you may have missed. As well, you'll be able to review the Battle Log at the end of an encounter.

Ahh, so I've just found the downside of the battle log. You can't access it outside your match.

Case: Finished my white node -- with all objectives, of course, because I was using Aj -- and Aj is awesome. >> Spinning Circle >> Spinning Circle >> Spinning Circle >> Spinning Circle >> Spinning Circle >> Spinning Circle >> Spinning Circle [SCREENSHOT] >> Spinning Circle >> Something Went Wrong [SCREENSHOT] >> Retry >> Something Went Wrong >> Retry >> Something Went Wrong >> Retry >> Something Went Wrong >> Retry [GAME HARD CLOSES] >> Open back up -- my points are gone and my white node is at 0.

The next thing I do is gather my info to submit a ticket -- this should be an easy one because there's a battle log, right?

No, wrong -- battle log isn't accessible when an unstable update force-closes your game and your lose your points.

    Awesome.

whats the point of creating ticket during event crashes ?
I can understand when you get wrong reward or you have NOT received reward at all but crashes ? they happen to everyone not sure what support can do it this case

Is story mode ever going to be added to? I would like to be able to casually play games with a variety of PW's against a variety of different challenges outside of the events. I don't like the repetitiveness of QB and you don't know what type of deck you will be up against, I would like play different styles of game to suit decks I have made but there is nowhere SOI, EMN, KLD or AER outside of events which have to be played with optimum decks to get to points for the coalition rather than an experimental deck to see if it works.
And when the deck slots come in are we going to be able to see what cards you have set to your PW's deck when selecting the PW as it would be much easier than trying to remember what you have put in it or spending the time to goto the PW menu and switch between all the PW's to see that you have it set up just right.

@losdamianos it's not the crash that is the issue for me, if it's anything like what happened to bken1234. I've had a crash take away multiple attempts from a node. Not just the one attempt that it crashed on, but the two I had left. I'm not sure if it grabbed one extra or emptied the entire node. If I had been on my first of the five the full node offered and it empties on a crash?!?! I didn't have any screenshots of my issue and it was on Angels Embrace which I had all the card rewards for so again I didn't worry about it myself. But if a crash empties an entire node in an event and you lose two or more attempts on a node, that's devastating to any player, amateur or competitive.

That problem with failure to load a battle wiping multiple node attempts is an old bug which it would be great to hear an update on. It has been around for months (at least I reported a bug very similar months ago). Has something to do with an interrupted connecting during the load I think. Seems much more common on flaky wifi.

    Hi guys,

I have been a MTGPQ-player for about 6 months, have bought some packs and am a regular event player like most of you likely. I only registered here to ask this one question:

Why is it not possible to change the ingame-language back to English in the localized Versions of MTGPQ? I am so sick of all those typos and unintelligible translations of cards. Especially my 'Germanized' Version is full of typos. I play MTG in real-life only with english cards to avoid misunderstandings as well and I would love to get back MTGPQ in English. It can't be so hard to just add a switch in the settings, so pretty please make it possible to change the language of the game!

    Thank you,
    Amaunator

I really think this is a great Idea, and very easy to implement. Let us chose the language used in game. I am from Brazil, so everytime I want to share my decks with coallition I have to go to my phone settings, change It to english back to the game, printscreen the decks, back to phone settings, change to portuguese again. This a painfull process, and It could be solved with just one option in the settings menu of the game. The Language os already in the app.

I am sure lots of pleople playing in non english coutries would like this feature.

Do you plan on rebalancing cards or Planeswalkers?
Yes - but only when needed.
I'd really like to know when you think a rebalance of a card or planeswalker is needed.
We’re constantly looking at metrics and evaluating the state of the meta-game; however, we want to avoid making changes before the meta has had a chance to settle.

That may be true for Kaladesh (and you have a lot of feedback about that already), but
I'd like to point out to the fact (I think it is one) that there are extremely powerful cards in the Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon expansion. And I think there was plenty of time to gather some data about that and the meta had enough time to settle. (You could say now: "But Kaladesh changed the Meta!", but that could be your excuse forever, with the constant releasing of new cards)
Sometimes certain cards and Planeswalkers will initially appear very powerful until the community figures out how to successfully counter them. Other times we will release new cards which inadvertently boost an underplayed Planeswalker. If certains cards or Planeswalkers remain consistently over- or under-played we’ll definitely look at rebalancing them.

Some planeswalker are for sure underplayed if you take that group into consideration that has options.
If you look at the big picture, the starting PWs will still be played, because new players have no other option to do so.
So, when you want to judge if a PW is underplayed or not, you can only take that players into account that have other planeswalker to chose from.
For example, get all players that have access to Chandra1 and Koth and compare their number of plays. I'm playing this game for less than a half year and I'm quite sure, that the times I played with Koth is way more often than with Chandra1 despite the fact, that I own Chandra1 longer (in addition, you have to wait until a PW rotates in and have to have the crystals ready...). So, you even have to take the time into consideration (like plays divided by month owned).

Pointing out that some cards that you will release some day will boost underplayed Planeswalker is likely to be untrue. What should that card look like, that I play Chandra1 over Koth, or Gideon1 over Nahiri? Maybe Runaway Carriage was such a card, but it was nerfed (For a good reason, I guess).

As a conclusion, I feel like your answer there is very evasive.

Your first word is YES, and then you relativize it to be highly unlikely.
I can’t speak for the community, but I think that some would agree that it is about to time to balance the game and stop the power creep. There are other answers for sure to keep the game interesting.

That’s why I would say start now(!) fixing and balance cards, balance the Planeswalkers , so that they are all relatively equal.

Of course, that can’t happen in a day, but show some good will and stop hiding behind “We want the Meta to settle”. As you might already know, most of us are quite forgiving, I believe.

    Regards!

P.s.: I hope this post doesn't sound too agressive, this is not my intention. But I felt kind of irritated when I read the quoted paragraph. Sorry, if it is.

This post goes into detail on PW analysis breaking all abilities down into numbers and gives suggestions on rebalancing.

While I like the idea of cycling the available cards and the 'sets' you create each week.... I have BIG issue!!

I have a desperate need for cards in the Battle for Zendikar set but you haven't offered the set in over 2 months. I've been saving up my coins to buy cards from this set but it has been absent for so long its become very frustrating!!

Please tell me you have plans to cycle the sets through again some time soon!!!

    Thank you.

Hey! Thanks for giving us a heads up that the Revolt event was going to be cut short. It really helped everyone get all their battles in and made the competition fair.

I know this has been mentioned through out the forum, but I'm curious if there are any plans to put a timer on the next Revolt event?

I understand it's difficult to estimate how much life to give Tezz based on player interest and unexpected glitches, but this series of ridiculously long events (especially overlapping other events that require deck changes without the deck slot feature) have caused many dedicated players to quit. Some are still considering leaving if we have to battle through another marathon.

Thank you for all your communication! It really does make this game soooo much better.
