Kalitas: Returning Kalitas to hand removes any -2/-2 affects

I was just playing Drana's Chosen in the event.
Kalitas was in position 2
Zombie tokens in position 3

Kalitas was reinforced once, opponent hit 2 activated gems and gave the zombie token -4/-4 (it became a 6/6) and Kalitas gained +4/+4.
On my turn I bounce Kalitas back to the players hand. When the zombie token shifted down it became a 10/10. There were no supports in play at the time. I will replay later to see if I can duplicate the issue.
