Cheaters

I have literally no idea what I can say in this thread without it being banned. Let's try this:

Casting my eye over the the top of the today's NoP leaderboard, the issue of cheating seems worse to me than it has been in the past.

Something must once again be done, and more definitely, this time. The tools which the dev team have developed to deal with the cheaters, whilst clearly helping in the short term, now seem to have made the problem worse.

If this thread is deleted, then I'll take it to facebook. It's more active than these forums anyway.

It is getting ridiculous. Yesterday, QB, I was telling guys in my coalition, "look there is someone with 600 points ahead of the others on the top", and three hours later he was 300 points behind the same person who is on top of the event board right now. This kind of point gain is simply not manageable by any other means than cheating and I simply can't understand why this is not Nr. 1 priority for the development since it ruins the fun not only of the people fighting for the top spots but also for us, players somewhere down below who are fed up investing in a game not only this flawed but now overcrowded with idiots not caring about fair play.

Event participation is down at least 5000 people from 1 month ago and slowly getting worse. All of the cheating makes playing MTGPQ not fun and the numbers are starting to reflect that. The failure of d3 to address this issue , an issue which we have been screaming about here for months, is ludicrous. Why we have to police this game and provide them with evidence is beyond me. If they have something in their code that tells them how many people are quitting against Kiora and don't have something in their code to check for unrealistic point gains and speed is a failure of their imagination. Right now they are shooting themselves in the foot. I don't want to have to screen shot every event I'm in, which I do because they need us to police the the game and it makes it not fun. I want to just play the game and not worry about all of the current top 6 players in NOP being cheaters. Finishing the last round of NOP in six minutes? What ****. Pretty please with whip cream on top redouble your efforts to ensure us the community that you are doing all that you can to catch the cheaters yourself and restore our confidence and fun again. Thank you.

It will probably take some time before cheaters can be eliminated.
But I agree that Hibernum has to be more aggressive with their stance and policy to deal with cheaters.
I mean let's take Pokemon GO as an example.
The initial release of Pokemon GO is riddled with cheaters. But I don't hear of cheating issues anymore.
Be daring Hibernum. Just freaking ban the hell out of cheaters. You shouldn't worry about losing potential customers thay may spend.
You should worry about losing big whales customers that has always been supporting the game.

Apologies for the recent egregious conduct of these potential cheaters. We've been working this past week on compiling and investigating a second wave of cheaters to take action on.
My anticipation is that the process for this wave is resolved before the end of the week, if not by the end of today.

Thanks! Hopefully they are also addressing the core issue directly. It's one thing to police, but a true fix is needed because there will also be players using the cheat that are smart about it and won't be detected by pts/rounds per second policing.
