Effect of first 5star on roster?

I've been playing casually for a while.
My roster is mostly 3stars, with 6 of them champ'd.
I've got nearly a dozen 4star characters, but no more than 3 covers on any of them.

I just drew my first 5star character (Black Widow - black), and I need to decide whether to add her, or if I should hold off until the rest of my team has gained more covers.

I've seen complaints in the forums that balance is out-of-whack for players with 5star characters.

How will gameplay change when I add my first 5star character to my roster?
Can somebody explain (or point me to a clear explanation of) what the problems are with 5star characters?

    If you have champed 3 stars, then you are fine. Just don't put any iso into it.

    Took a look at your roster, and you'll be fine. When a 3* is boosted, they'll be higher level than the 5* anyway. On weeks when none of your 3* champs are boosted, you'll see a very small uptick in opponent level, but you probably won't even notice unless you're looking for it. As you get more 3* champs, this will happen less and less often.

    Don't put ISO into the 5* for now and you'll have no issues.
