No swimsuits here; just a (to-scale) depiction of the abysmal odds of getting the classic legendary character you want.

Please help us, you promote roster diversity then make back-filling classics virtually impossible at 1.7%

    What about if I need a specific color cover of those 5*? I'm thinking you may have to zoom in a bit.

    I was looking at it today and wondering how long it will be before they split it into 2 pools (if that ever happens).

    We asked for something similar for heroics years ago and it never happened.

    There are currently 9 in classics and 3 in latest. You know they want to keep that incentive up for latest. I'm betting there's no way the split it with any less than 12 in classics. That's about 3 months away. More likely, since I've been around long enough to know better, it won't happen until there are 20 of them, if it happens at all. icon_e_wink.gif

    There are six 5* colors that I have 5 of, but less than 13 covers total:

    OML Black
    OML Red
    SS Black
    SS Blue
    PHX Red
    IM Red

    Guess which 5* covers I keep drawing? icon_eek.gif

    Some of the dense commentary on my thread about the 5* transition got me wondering how much CP one would have to amass to cover all the 5*s from Classics right now.

    Considering there are no swaps offered, you'd have to allow plenty for poor distribution.

    Answer I arrived at was 9 characters • 19 pulls each (allowing plenty for poor distribution there) / 15% = 1,140 pulls • 20cp each = 22,800 CP icon_lol.gif

    That's 2,533 CP per completed 5* !

    I thought this would be fun to simulate.

    I already wasted to many pulls. I'm completely on board with the hoard/pull for a latest trio/hoard/pull for a latest trio plan. there is a lot that I wouldn't change much going back through my time playing, but the way I handled LT pulls and cp is the FIRST thing I'd go back and change. hoard everything for when phx was added. pull until those 3 are finished. then hoard until latests hit and then pull each trio you have 300 for. I'd likely have 6 champs already and be on my way to another set. instead I have 11 cover ss, 10 cover oml, 7 cover IM, 5 cover banner and bssm, etc, etc, etc. all those pulls wasted. they helped me champ some 4s, but my 4s weren't really ready for those pulls either and many were wasted. now I have ~60% of the 4s done and it won't waste nearly as many.

    dilution kills man...

    Would it be possible to add a third option, kind of like a rotating vault? You take three featured 5* and put them into their own classic vault with the 5% drop rate for a couple of weeks so people can try to finish building the older 5's.

    Oh I don't know ... some impossibly streaky stuf goes on around here icon_lol.gif

    Not above thinking the RNG gets stuck now and again. Questionable implementation? For instance what if poor connectivity affects the RNG? Only the devs know, and they aren't saying.

    I pulled 4 3*s from standards yesterday and today.

    Not all the same char or color tho.

    This RNG is suuuuuper 'sticky', which is something that has always worried me about the particular implementation that Devs have used for the tokens

    Looking at an isolated selection of classic legends tokens I pulled in one sitting here is the order I got them in:

    Bruce Banner, Gwenpool, Wasp, BSS, Bruce Banner, Bruce Banner, BSS

    Now that looks amazing and super "sticky" but if you look at my entire pull history you see a 14.8% legendary pull rate and random distribution across most characters available. The more data I see on legendary tokens the more I think it's truly random and we just see patterns because a particular batch of random pulls look like a pattern.
