Endless cycle of Scrapheap Scroungers [Solved]

In the last Fateful Showdown I stumbled upon an interesting cycle:

* Opponent puts out a Scrounger (1)
* Scrounger 1 dies when it hits my creature
* Opponent puts out another Scrounger (2)
* Scrounger 2 dies when it hits my creature. Scrounger 1 then returns to the battlefield
* Scrounger 1 dies when it hits my creature. Scrounger 2 then returns to the battlefield

Is this meant to happen?

    That's exactly how it works. Whenever another creature hits the graveyard Scrapheap eats it or harvests it's organs or whatever and then returns to the battlefield. The only way to get it off the battlefield is to use a return to hand spell or a creature effect like Lashweed Lurker.

    Interesting, thanks for that. I guess I thought the "another creature" referred to any other creature that wasn't the Scrounger.

    Might have to play around a bit with this card, sounds like a good way to endlessly wear down the opposition's creatures. If you can draw two of them, that is.

    tightening coils can also work well against scrapheap
    scrounger.
