Creature order...

Is there a definitive answer on creature order on the battlefield? I thought Defender, Reach, Vigilence and other was supposed to be the basic order, but recently I've seen defenders that I have disabled with claustrophobia move to the second spot and newly casted non-defenders move into the disabled first spot. This is particularly annoying when the defender is 12/12 and the newly casted is weak.

I don't remember ever seeing thaat happen before until recently.

The blocking creature should be in first, it's yet another bug.

Selective creature disabling can mess up the creature order. It's a bug.

I thought vigilant creatures only move to the first spot when an opposing creature attacks? Also, once disabled, the game might no longer count them as being vigilant for the remainder of the round so they are treated accordingly.

Except it's not just vigilance. In the Fateful Showdown event I had my creatures with reach moving in and out of that first disable slot and creatures with no defensive abilities moved in.

This happens to me too when I play Avacyn as the second or third creature. When she comes into play, she gives reach to my other creatures for a turn (say I have Lone Rider and Serene Stewart in play, both creatures without defense abilities), so now all my creatures have reach and the board order doesn't change since reach is prioritized over vigilance and my other creatures were on the board earlier so get prioritized over Avacyn. But on my next turn, all creatures lose reach and only Avacyn remains having a defensive ability, vigilance. The board order still doesn't change however. This isn't really bothering me (since I have used this bug to buff Lone Rider/It that Rides as One while Avacyn is still on board), but it's a bug nevertheless.
