Advice on next 4* to champ...

So I have 10 4* covers in the queue for potential Champions. Running out of time on a few, and also trying to rebuild the 2* farm (only 4 are champed right now). Any advice for who to try to champ next would be helpful (or even advice to respec).
Here's what I have:
at 175, (3/5/5). and covers in queue.
at 220 (3/5/5). 2 in queue.
at 175 (5/5/3). and in queue.
at 140 (5/3/5). 2 and 1 blue.
at 141 (5/4/4) 1 in queue.
I am pretty much ISO-starved, I'm about 500 xp from my next level (80), and 7 covers away from maxing my next 2 star champ. I'm thinking to go for Cho or Starlord, but they are quite far from 270. Elektra is the closest, but not really who I want to champ next.
Are any worth a respec? Should I sell all and cut my losses (and not pull anymore LTs until I get who I want up to 270)? Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks in advance!

Starlord seems like the best option there. He's fantastic for PvE and not bad for PvP. Strongly recommend you wait to pull tokens until you have enough iso to use whatever you pull.0

Looking at your Roster, I would go for either Star-Lord or Elektra . Reasons below:
1. Carnage to me is a sell-on-sight 4 character
2. Cho's main power is his green, and you already have quite a few 4 champs who have strong green powers. selling 3 of his covers will hurt, no question about it....
3. ProfX: Although I prefer a 5/3/5 spec, you've got him on a good set of covers, and you don't want him tanking so he's okay to sit at the back supporting. Also, his covers are the same as both and both of who you already have champed
Why Starlord? He will help you tear mobs apart and he can overwrite any tiles with a 5/5/3 purple.
Why Elektra? IMHO a 5/5/3 Elektra with a PunisherMax and any of 4Cyke or Falcap would be a pretty formidable team. She's a tough character to use but when used right her purple and black powers can be seriously powerful.
Hope that helps!0 -
Carnage is trash. I keep a fully covered level 165 on hand for his 4* Clash and just in case they fix him.
Elektra isn't great but nearly 50% of my pulls were either Elektras or Bag Lady for a long and painful stretch so I champed her because clearly RNGsus was not going to stop persecuting me until I did. It worked, haven't pulled one since thank god. Champed Bag Lady too after 4 more god damned blue covers and holy **** is she good boosted in this Heroic! She hits like a bread truck full of dynamite. Elektra is useful against high level strike tile producers like roided out Muscles and essential against Kaecilius.
StarLord is pretty handy now I must admit. You should champ him.
Cho is better than he used to be for sure. That is not saying much.
Professor X was my first 4* champion and I've never regretted it even for a second. He is an absolute axe murderer. The mayhem he can cause by buffing special tiles while invisible is stupendous. Champ him, champ him, champ him! Roster a second for winfinite if you want.0 -

Cho actually plays really nicely with other Green users. His Blue is a great battery, and fighting him+Rulk during their last boost week was a pain. Even unboosted though, you can still use him as fuel for other characters.
Elektra on the other hand is finicky and is only ever mildly threatening/useful when boosted.
I think your initial instinct was correct OP, and you should go for either Cho or Starlord. Both benefit nicely from respec-ing and can function as decent support characters. I don't think one or the other is outright better , though Starlord has a bit of an edge in PvE since his Yellow can trigger off of goons. Go with whichever feels more fun to you, or whichever gets boosted first once you have the ISO, or whichever you have the most covers expiring for.
(Sidenote: if you do go with Starlord at least apply the one Blue cover to Cho to get him to 5/4/4 and closer to 5/5/3)0 -
Thanks everyone!!! Definitely going with Starlord now. Fingers crossed I make it before both covers expire
Also going to horde LTs for a while, until I get the rest of my good 4*s up to 250.0 -

Still can't believe I just said that.
At lvl 220, your Elektra is half paid for iso-wise (congrats), but ... wait. WTH is your Elektra half paid for???
Haha, I question I keep asking myself as well0 -
One note. Carnage is far from being garbage. He is one trick pony and that trick is setting your defense in PvP when he is boosted. I will skip that fight even if I have two other 4* boosted (or I am close to my shield and he is worth over 50 points; under 50 points - skip; health pack drain). As much as I agree that Star-Lord is a no brainer number one pick on your list it is very much debatable if Cho, Electra or Carnage should get the iso as well.0

Star-Lord! Since his update I'm using him every day. He's a devil when used with IM40 and Iceman!0

I go right after Carnage teams with my Old Man Meatshield, Super Steve and IM40. Keep him stunlocked and red him to death unless he has someone really good and fast with him. I rarely if ever see him any more since the death of cupcakes though.0 -

And what is the level of OML? Because I was referring to him in pure 4* situation and you are throwing in a top 5*. But hey - if your OML is not championed I would go after OML, 3* Cap and IM40 all day as well as this is pretty slow and vulnerable team on defense. I would swap Cap for Iceman in that team. All in all - this game favors offence and real life player very much. With Carnage in the opposing team (and I have mentioned I am talking about him being boosted) you are pretty sure to lose some health and might need to use health packs. Therefore i tend to avoid him if I don't have to. I tend to withhold the use of powers to keep him in check before I can swiftly deal with him but that way each round increases risk of his mates firing or him firing his red. So being on the same level (boosted 4*) he is a above average defensive deterrent. You can't say the same about top dogs of offence like Rhulk (who I like to fight against, especially mirror matches).0 -
SL and Cho are super fun to use.0

I'm going to echo the opinion regarding Star-Lord - he's the best character you have available with more than one cover. I really wouldn't sweat selling one cover - that's going to happen. I'll also point out that the end game of the 4* tier is you with every 4* you have fully covered champed, so I wouldn't sweat champing a low tier character either. Still, you may as well go with the best character you have available, and that's definitely Star Lord.
I looked at your Roster - you've covered the basics for your top tier characters, so you don't actively need to champ anyone in particular. In general, I'd go with the following:
- If you draw an extra cover for a top tier character (from what you have left, Iceman, Peggy, Jean, Nova - in that order,) Champ them. You will definitely use them when boosted.
- Otherwise, if you draw more than one extra cover for a particular 4*, focus on them. Chances are good they'll come in handy when boosted, and at the very least the rewards are great. If you've got more than one, go in the order of the better character's first. You can ask, or go to the Polls. The poll may or may not be the best data (I disagree with it on more than a few characters,) but it's something.
You may want to stop drawing LTs when you're meeting more than one of the above criteria - give your Iso a chance to build up. You can get more than one 4* from the mid 100s to champ in two weeks, but it's not easy.
I'm also going to chime in my opinion regarding Carnage - I actually like him when boosted. If you are willing to spend the Health Packs, Symbiote Scythes makes fights go so damn fast it isn't funny. Of course, Carnage is my second highest 4* at the moment at 305...0 -
I just champed my Cho, and I actually like using him as a meat shield and green battery, built him as 355 because I never really intend to use his green unless my other green user is dead. I pair him with champed Iceman and champed 4clops for my simulator team, they work well together even if they overlap on blues. Cho generates green without using blue, and then you just decide how you want to use blue between ice and clops. but Cho generating green helps fuel iceman's AOE attack, which has been helping me mow through a lot of enemy teams.0

Thanks everyone for the advice! It's been super helpful and has given me a good idea on how to keep going with my 4* transition.0

My OML is Level 280 and 1/5/0 which makes him a super effective meat shield but really junky on defense. I use IM40 with my Champion Goddess Thor quite a bit too. I've been using my 4clops and Moon Knight a lot so I like to use cap and IM40 on Carnage in case I get nailed I can let them heal up naturally to save health packs. I do avoid Carnage if he's paired with Doc Ock or Peggy. Too risky for the reward at that point.0 -
That is true - if you can use your B team to take out Carnage it makes him less of deterent. But as you mentioned - if he is paired correctly he is a quick trip to skip land.0
