what to do with CP; LT or CT?

When I started, classics were the consensus choice for CP. I managed to pull a decent amount of 5* but now the odds are so low I'll pretty much never fully cover any of them.
That leads to pulling latest. The problem with that is unless i can gather enough combined tokens/CP to whale a latest, they'll head into the classics pile, joining my other, never-to-be-completed 5*'s.
It basically puts me into the "forever 4*" tier, which isn't awful, but not great either.
Is there a way out of this, or just accept what is?

The brute force way out is to stockpile a TON of CP (enough for like 200+ pulls) and attempt to either fully cover the latest legends at that point, or hope for one of the 10% chance at the new 5* legendaries that have come up and use it to fully cover that one.

Anything other that doing those two is more than likely going to end up in a bunch of not fully covered 5* unless you get lucky.

You'd be surprised, actually. Pretty extensive play can net you a lot of CP and LT. Sure, 1200 is tough for non 5* players, but there are other avenues.

Also, if you keep on the Latest you will be able to start maxing. I started with Latest when I got a bunch of Black Bolt pulls. I stopped pulling classics, hoarded for a bit since I decided I didn't like Banner, then just pulled out of Classics. I did max out my Black Bolt two weeks before he left the tokens - when he was maxed, I stopped pulling, then waited to see how the next 5* was.

Since Thanos is also good, I've kept at pulling Latest. I'm now 12 covers into Black Widow, 10 into Strange, and 5 into Thanos. Hopefully I pull that last Widow cover, then again, I'll stop, and wait and see how the next 5* is, but chances are good I'll stick with it at least until I get a good Thanos...

Sure, this will vary wildly by luck and by how much you play, but it's at least feasible. The only money I spend on the game is keeping up my VIP....

Grunth is completely right. The only sensible choice is to draw latest legends until the devs fix the horrible situation with the classics. Hoard CP until you can afford to move out of 4* land in a single step and then draw until you champ 3 at once. Once you make it to 5* land, you will be targeted by others until you have good champs who can hold their own. Just have faith that power creep will ensure that you'll be able to have 3 good 5* in the latest pool at the same time without losing anything. You're much better off champing your 4* until you have the CP to move to 5* land. Good luck.

I am in the same boat - stack in the 4* land. So now I am hoarding in hope of getting my 5* done at once. I could pull from Classics as non of the 5* is well covered (I only have 5 purple in Phoenix but she is 3-5-0 ). The advantage is the amount of extra 4 you get - if you have a big pool of champions this can make a lot of difference.

But I will most likely try whaling the Latest if the next one is good. My only worry is that Strange is rather well covered (4-4-3) and I don't plan to champion him without a good companion (Thanos at 1 cover and Widow at 2-2-2). I will probably have to stash LT and CP till next release (Black Panther?) in couple of months or maybe even till one after then to see Strange rotate out.

Anyway - already at 10 LT and 550 CP so 32 pulls in Only ~200 more to go. Meanwhile I continue to champion my 4* (18 and counting) in order to save the resources. While stashing LT the flow of 4* has slowed down and I can focus on one at a time.

Well I'm saving CP/LT for the next 5*. Depending on when they release I could have 20 ish LTs and 400 CP. That's nowhere near 300 but 300 is outrageous and would really stagnant the game for me.
