R117 - New Android Permissions

I was wondering if the developers can explain why the game suddenly needs access to my Location and Device History - there is no mention of this in the patch notes only Google Store prompting to approve additional rights.

    I doubt there is anything sinister going on here, but permission changes, especially adding new permissions should always be communicated to players VERY clearly.

    (On android 6 i got no notice that location was added with r117, but i also jave permissions disavled by default. So location is now just a new entry on mpq's list of disabled permissions.)

    It's due to an upcoming game feature that will give us additional rewards for visiting key Marvel locations. That Starbucks in NYC is actually Stark Tower in MPQ.. think Pokemon Go
