I'm wondering how is this possible, if the previous iterations of the event were not bugged...

BTW: I thought I accidentally clicked something, and hoped to go to 3.3 once done with Gideon, and then BAM! no secondaries icon_e_biggrin.gif

I tried to hold out long enough to try and get the objectives. He takes forever to play cards, because he's actually using the correct deck. It's just the planeswalker that's bugged.

    How does this even happen??

    Who cares? It's hilarious XD

I care -- I put money into this game and I really like that level.

As to how it could happen, they have made a couple of stealth changes to the event, presumably to tweak difficulty. For example, in 3.3 they replaced the original Syndicate Trafficker with Metalwork Colossus, and they also boosted the mana gains of 3.1 by 1 across the board. Perhaps they were making additional changes and hit the wrong button.

Scrapheap Scrounger also now uses Marionette Master. Kind of a troll card for a node that has a total damage limitation for ribbons.

It had Marionette Master last time, too. And yes, it makes it tricky to keep damage low.

It's very tricky. You have to make sure not to break any servos when you match gems, and go very heavy on kill spells in that node. It's the only one I haven't found a good deck for.

you can try using ajani to disable her and then break
as many servos as you want.

I think I must have missed it last time :/

I went into it with Liliana 2.0 because Diregraff Colossus, Prized Amalgam, and Graf Harvest make it really easy to not take damage, but I didn't draw any kill spells, was *this close* to losing because of Marionette Master reinforced. Had 5 life and took forever the last turn to find a match I could make that would let me enter combat and win without destroying a servo and losing before I could attack.

I should keep that in mind next time. My Dovin is set up with lots of creature disable.

My favorite is when you take forever to find a good match that won't break a support and then the AI randomly decides now is a good time to break one of it's own supports.

Ajani and Dovin both have a lot of disable potential, which makes it a lot easier. But yes, Marionette Master is one of the unsung power cards of this set, and every time it hits the board I'm anxious.

Agreed. When I play it, Marionette Master is crazy good. I built a whole deck around it for Liliana 1.0 with lots of fabricate creatures, Blightcaster, and Underhanded Designs. It's a really fun deck to play, but scary to be on the other side of, especially when your opponent can just **** out servos from loyalty abilities every single turn....

Which... devs.... hint... make Aether Revolt Tezzeret **** out servos, please and thank you icon_e_wink.gif

That's true. I do load him up with kill spells too before I jump into that battle.

I have to say, I was a bit confused when I saw Gideon's pic and thought maybe it's like the issue with the Angel image used for one of Dovin Baan's supports, but then still level 195, so.. Oh, wait.. all his abilities are greyed out and the poor guy has +1, 0, -1, -1, 0...

Fortunately I had gone in with Nahiri and my Angel support deck so I managed to plant enough non-threatening supports before I got to kill him off.

Thanks, Gideon! You're a real trooper taking one for the Planeswalkers like that... You're alright in my book... icon_cool.gificon_e_wink.gificon_lol.gif

Have you tried her with a Clue based deck? Since her ability refers to Supports in general, and Clues are effectively self-destructing Supports I've been wondering how well it works. Tamiyo's Journal (and Ongoing Investigation if we get a Blue/Black PW!) could work quite well with her.

That's where I got the idea, though since I never pulled Tamiyo's Journal, I couldn't include it. I imagine it would make it even more powerful.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the heads up! We've forwarded this information along to the developers, and they'll be looking into it.
Would you be so kind as to pass along the recommendation that new builds should actually be tested prior to deploying them? Thanks!
