Everyone Stupid or Obnoxious 'April Fools'

Is everyone mysteriously an insane idiot today and simultaneously agreed on mediocre (or in many cases bad) alternative names for characters, or did somebody miss the "if you're going to run an April Fools joke, either make it funny or awesome" part of April Fools?

    The former. If you look in the "Miscellaneous" section of the boards, you'll see the thread where the alternate names were hashed out among all the cool kids. Your invitation must've gotten lost in transit.
