Which will pay off better?

I'm on the cover poor side of things, so after the double iso event, I've got some to invest without the best of options.

My choice is 1 mid-to-low tier 4* (spidergwen, gr, falcap, elektra, or IW) or 3 of the last 5 3*s I haven't wanted to champ (bullseye, colossus, rags, sentry, or falcon). I've got 16 champ 4*s, including what's generally regarded as the top 10. I've also got a fully functioning 2* farm.

In terms of use, I think they'd probably be pretty similar (essentials, featured pvp for 3*s, a boost week when there's nothing better for 4*s). So it's really just a question of which is going to pay out better champ rewards in the long run. Has anyone done the math on this? I'm leaning towards the 3*s based on cover frequency, especially with a farm putting out bullseye/rags.

I don't know why you wouldn't want to champion 3* Bullseye. Flooding the board with strike tiles is never not fun.

Seconded. He's extra awesome in wave nodes. Falcon is quite good as a PvE character too.

Totally worth finishing off the 3* champs. No more "urge, Sentry cover", just "woohoo champ level"

Except Bullseye. The more people who don't champ Bullseye, the more people with a target on them for his PvP event. (champ him)

Wow, I had no idea ol bullseye was held in such high regard. He always seemed like a pretty weak character to me. Purple that can't always fire, expensive green, cool passive that can be hard to get off and only kicks in late in the match.

Anyhow, even the best non-battery 3*s don't get much use from me anymore, now that I've got a deep enough 4* roster. But there's always featured pvp and pve essentials.

But I do like the idea of a reduced chance trash covers. I'll still feel the pain in 4* draws, but less frequent I guess. And 3 LT draws instead of 1 is another good argument for going the 3* route.

Bullseye gives out Kingpin covers as champ rewards. In my book, that alone is reason enough to champ him.

True, although my 1/3/5 kingpin will not benefit from the 6th yellow kingpin that bullseye drops first. Regardless, if I go the 3* route, I'll probably do:

    - Bullseye (extra cover flow from farm)
    - Ragnarok (ditto)
    - Sentry (moon knight covers)

Bullseye is wave modes is ridiculous. If you bring someone that generates special tiles (Fist or Cage for example) so you know you have something to start off, you can flood the board with his passive and start to tear through the waves. Champ him and try it in Ddq. It will put a smile on your face.
Throw in Scarlet Witch to generate 21+ purple to set you off and fun follows.
