Know When to Hold Them

We know hoarding latest legendary tokens is a viable plan. It takes approximately 200 pulls to max 1 5* and 260 to max all 3 at once. My conundrum is the smattering of classics I have. Statistically, I'm more likely to finish a classic in less tokens given my starting position;
  • Silver Surfer [2/5/4] (11)
  • Old Man [4/2/3] (9)
  • Hulk [3/3/1] (7)
  • Spiderman [4/0/3] (7)
  • Captain [1/5/1] (7)
  • Phoenix [4/1/1] (6)
  • Goblin [1/1/1] (3)

Opening latest 1-at-a-time isn't going to move the needle by the time they cycle out.
I currently have 22 maxed 4-Stars, including all the ones that matter, and average 20 CP. 1 Token Daily.

So do I;
  1. Hoard Latest & CP to 200-260 total pulls
  2. Hoard Latest and purchase Classics
  3. Hoard Latest and buy 2-6 Covers
  4. Hoard Nothing and purchase Classics

Things to consider
  • 4-Star Champ rewards are the best source of CP and Latest tokens
  • Hoarding latest will hurt my CP and Latest token flow by decreasing 4-star champ rewards
  • Classics are available in daily rewards, I'm approaching GG and my second OML Black soon(ish)
  • Hoarding, in the wrong light is demoralizing...for 6 months...even if I am or the game is still going
  • High level 4-Stars are excellent, even against a modest 5-Star

    It kind of depends how much you like the current characters you're going for. I'd almost recommend hoarding for the 620 cp to 1240 cp and then open classics until you can champ one of your 5*. I'd hate to be in a 5/5/1 situation with those characters in classics, you'd almost never get the cover you need, but it would be worth the 620 cp to finish a 5*.

    I've been hoarding, from a less advanced roster than yours. I really want a usable strange, so I'm going to unload once Thanos is in the queue. I only have 110 pulls now, but there will be a lot of cascading from have 25% of the 4* champed. I expect I'll hit 250 or so pulls before Strange is gone, but RNG may vary.

    5* transition is tough. If I were you, I would hoard Latest and purchase Classics. By purchasing Classics, you still get something to look forward to, something that could be exciting when you get a 5* cover. It should help your morale to keep playing. By hoarding Latest, you create a solid long term plan to fully cover 3 x 5*s. So, I find the best solution to many problems is to spend some now and save some for the future.
