Game glitches, and I don't know why

It happens when I'm playing quick battles and I repeatedly tap the screen with my finger to skip the animations because, you know, that's what quick battlers do to save time. But sometimes, the game screen gets dim like it's showing me a support, but there's nothing there, and I can't dismiss it and move on with the match. All it will let me do is open the menu and quit. It's really frustrating to lose a win streak to game bugs, does anyone know why this happens?
