Has the Jean Grey/Professor X dynamic changed?

I seem to recall Jean Grey was created as the Professor X counter. Enemy Prof made a 5 match, but your Jean stops it from helping them, right?

Well...lately I'm seeing Professor X get his 5 match passive and then Jean steps in with hers. So I just had a match where an unlucky cascade had two 5 matches in it, both of which fired off Professor X's passive to hit Jean Grey hard and then after everything settled THEN she did her passive.

Is this an intentional change, do ya think?

    It's always been like that.
First offense goes, then your own team.
So if you finish JG off with a match 5, her passive will not trigger.

No no, she didn't get killed. I'd have understood that. My point was I'm sure it used to be that if the enemy made a match 5, Jean Grey would counter it immediately before anything else. It seems her priority has dropped.
Though I suppose if it's always been like that maybe I just didn't notice? I'm sure when the reverse was true she stung me before my Professor X could use his passive.

It was changed several releases ago. Jean passive used to trigger immediately after a match 5 but now waits for the cascade to end before doing so. Same with px.

But apparently only on your side of things.
That kinda sucks...the enemy's abilities fire off as soon as they happen.
