trading in runes

While I thought of this for its own sake, it is also somewhat of a work around to the understandable - if not downright justified - complaints about duplicate cards.

Perhaps the developers could implement a system whereby extra runes could be traded in for crystals. I have seen where lots of players are sitting on hundreds of thousands of runes, with no planes walkers left to level up with them. Why not allow your users to do something with them? Perhaps an exchange rate of 500 runes for one crystal? If someone were to amass 300k runes, that exchange would allow them to purchase another big box. I'd even go so far as to say a 250:1 ratio would be fair, but anything would really be a start.

or allow newer players who have use for runes to trade
their event prize 10 crystals with older players. this
would help keep the game flowing and fresh for both
players and will likely have limited impact on sales.

  • I logged on here today to suggest the exact same thing.
Ive amassed nearly 200k runes with absolutely nothing to use them on.

We get runes from QB, story, events and dublicate cards. Its by far the most availabe "resource" we got. Yet alot of us have nothing to use them on.

Allowing us to convert runes into crystals would give them continuous purpose. It would also spark some genuine interest into QB'ing and give newer players a bigger chance to compete in the long run.

The exchange ration should be very low. 500:1 or even lower to avoid people abusing it. Some balance would be needed.

The problem with opening up Runes for Crystal trading is you now create a lot of inflation in the market.

All of a sudden each Crystal loses a lot of value. They then either have to a) Water down booster packs even further or b) Increase prices on everything to keep pace.

by only allowing players to trade with each other
you keep the crystal count the same as before.
only they now belong to a different person. also
the number of crystals newer players are bringing
to the trade won't be huge and older players will
    be wanting crystals, not runes.
