Architect of the Untamed vs Hangarback Walker

Both these cards have the same trigger, but they don't act the same way. If I have a board set up like this:




If I make that swap with Hangarback Walker, I get two thopters, however, if I make the same match with Architect of the Untamed, I only get one energized gem. One of the two is experiencing a bug, and since it's the newer card, I would suspect Architect is the one that's bugged.
