This transition going from 1* to 2* seems to be a long hard process. Right now I feel like I am Iso starved and covered starved. I have maxed my 1* team and soft capped my MNThor. I am currently sitting on 500 HP and have 2 covers for 2* Hawkeye. Not sure I am going to use him so debating to just sell him for the iso.

So guess I just need to sit here and try to grind what ever iso I can from the differnent events since I have cleared most iso from Prolog. I am trying to be a F2P but this makes it though.

It's hard to say without seeing your roster. I'm assuming you have IM, Storm and BW levelled up fro the prolog event. If so concentrate on Wolverine and Thor from the prolog rewards. Use the upcoming Lightning rounds to get some ISO for levelling them. Start playing as soon as the LRs begin to get the easy seed teams. You should also have a Storm from the prolog too iirc, use her too as she works well with 2 star teams.

Play every lightning round and beat the starter teams to get up to the 100 pt progression awards. That will give you tokens and iso. It does feel like it takes a while but once you secure a few more ares or thor covers you'll be on your way and it will go a lot more quickly.

I don't think I've seen a MNThor cover from a token ever, but that is my luck at work.

You are actually in a good spot to take advantage of current lightning rounds, at the least you should be able to hit 100 and get tokens and ISO plus few hundred ISO from fights, if you do still have thor covers from the prologue then definitely grab those. Check the prologue mission reward thread to see exactly which battles you need to do.

Also, current Unstable ISO event has Red MNThor as a progression reward to help fill him out. If only it was a yellow

I started a little earlier than you, so I was able to benefit from the more generous 2* rewards under the previous system for a little longer. The two things that helped me the most were these:

1) Play as much of the PvE as you can - there are 2 event tokens pretty easily obtained in the progression rewards, and if you play well (find eddiemon's guide to pve, ask questions if you need to) you should aim for one of the event token rewards in the sub events. This should net you a half dozen or more event/heroic tokens which will really help you with 2* covers.

2) Do as these other guys suggested and get up to 100 pts in the LRs (nice Iso bonus at 100), or if you don't want to spend the time, at least get the free standard token at 50. Don't do anything past this as you're not likely to place highly in the LR and you don't want to increase your MMR from these. Then, when the longer PvP tournaments come around you should join later on in the event and try to get up to the 300 pt threshold. This will get you another event token (yay guaranteed 2* covers), and will most likely put you in position for another 2* cover in rewards.
