Holiday Showdown - Are we ranked?

Sorry if this is obvious, but I'm a bit confused. Are we playing each other to rank? Or is this event purely for progression rewards? Would have thought the progression rewards would be a little bit better if that's all this even is, but I don't see a leaderboard anywhere (shame, won every game within half an hour after event started)

    No leaderboard or ranks, this is purely a personal progression event.

    so there is no point in continuing past progression....
    but when the event ends we'll find out there was a leader board and there's 100 ties for first place...

    I didn't think to look at the time and can't at the moment because my charges are exhausted, but someone said during pairing that their opponent's were ranked. So I'm not sure...

    I noticed this too, and when you go to match with an opponent they show as ranked. So probably a glitch

    Also, how can we have a "showdown" with no ranking? How do we know who's the best!
