Roster Space

Hey everyone. I'm getting back into the game after a long hiatus and am struggling with the immense amount of new characters that I don't have any space for. Is it recommended to drop my two stars l (except for 3 to manage the dailies) to make room for 4 and 5 star pickups? Or am I better suited selling those for ISO and keeping my two stars for pve required nodes and champion bonuses.
To give you an idea where I am in the game I have all 3 stars championed but doctor strange and have many incomplete 4 and 5 star heroes. I only have one complete hero in IW.
Any thoughts or tips on what I should do?

Common wisdom around here is to sell the 2*s when they're maxed then re-roster them and farm the rewards. I wouldn't sell them off for roster space - you get a few hundred HP for running them through champ rewards, then a few more for selling them. Farm the 2*s to get roster space for 4*s.0

Great! Thanks for the reply. Is it worth collecting the 2 stars that I got rid of a while ago to do this same thing?
As far as the 4 and 5 stars that are pending in my que. should I sell off the 5s as they will be much harder to cover? Keep them for this same reason?0 -
Not sure how long you've been away, but here's the general breakdown of how the game is these days.
2*s are more than just ISO now. When all is said and done selling and re-champing costs 5000 but gets you 400 , 3 , 5 , and 3 3*s. Considering how often you get 2*s, especially after the introduction of Elite packs, this should make for a steady stream of HP coming to buy more roster slots. Even more so if your 3*s are all champed.
So here's the rub. Not having a required 4* is crippling in PVE, since those missions always give out the most points. Selling them can potentially hobble yourself in events, since getting specific 4*s can be a pain. But, having a 2* farm generates HP faster to buy slots quicker and helps you level up, which gives you tons of ISO. Personally I'd say work on your 2* farm and roster 4*s and 5*s when you get enough HP for a new slot, and don't sell qeued covers until you absolutely have to.
5*s are an odd bunch. They're powerful, to the point where PVP was Old Man Puzzle Quest for a while, but they're so rare that getting one up to usable levels is kinda down to the gods of RNG (I've been playing daily and consistently hitting full progression in PVE and the best I've got is a 3/2/0 after a year). So getting them is kinda down to luck. I'd try to roster them if you can.
Honestly the best option would be to put a little money into the game. Even the $2 level lets you skip videos for the Intercepts, which give out some crazy good rewards. If you're looking to keep fully free-to-play then watch the videos when you can. You can get HP from Intercepts, which you need.0 -
I don't see anything about payment levels. Can you clarify this? I have spent a small amount of money over the years but it was a long time ago.0
