Hi everyone,

The first Fateful Showdown Event has come to a close. Participation was much higher than we had anticipated! It's great to see the community come together to tackle an Event; unfortunately, this meant the Event Boss expired before players could get the final progression rewards.

As a result, we're going to rerun the rebalanced event with the same top reward (the exclusive Rare card Panharmonicon) starting this weekend, Saturday December 17th at 5:00 PM UTC.

In addition, there is a known issue with the optional objective on the third boss of the event's final node - "Noxious Gearhulk." The third objective currently reads "Cast 1 or more supports during the fight." It should read "8 or more supports." Sorry for the confusion, this will be fixed in the next update.

Will the supports and clue issues be fixed before the event?

    When is the next update?
  • What about Thalia, who was an event reward exclusive but never offered as one?
  • And screw everyone who put the effort in first time round but is too busy to do this event? Nice!

So panhormonican will be offered again. Thats great. I hope this doesnt not mean that you will skip another one of the event exclusive cards later like you did with Thalia..... for which btw none of you have bothered to make a comment.
  • will clues be fixed before this? A mechanic not working at all is quite detrimental to some decks.

If you ever wonder why devs don't like to respond or give updates , this is why.

What's the point of trying if they'll get flamed anyway?

the point is to have a proper QA team and test each update before release if you seriously expect any money from players
  • I for one appreciate their effort and understand the trouble it is with glitches or things like this. They are moving in the right direction, and I support them. Keep up the good work! While there maybe some flaws like this, they recognize it and attempt to fix it- can't really ask for more

For those of you saying that the devs are trying, I'm sure they are. The problem here is that they're trying to make things right when the problems are simple, common sense issues to begin with. And if they aren't simple issues, then maybe communicating that much would help the community understand their position.

When problems like being unable to view supports on the board, cards that freeze the game last through multiple patches/fixes, bugs reported from months ago still prevalent and never mentioned in multiple patch notes, random finishing placement for prizes in events, skewed opponent matchmaking takes weeks and months to address or to even acknowledge, then it makes people wonder how effectively they're trying. It feels like we're going 1 step forward and 3 steps back.

Plastic oh come one! You and your logic have no place in place of D3
YES D3 have influx of $$ caused by decreased drop rates and increased sale of crystal so everyone can hurry up and buy a chance of getting non dupe mythic for 350
Avacyn and Fateful showdown took place within 3-5 days between eachother D3 knew excactly the participation of Avacyn Event however regardless of that fact it got surprised/overwhelmed by the amount of people participating in Fateful Showdown (pretty sure it was almost same as Avacyn's event) which is their excuse why it ended early
    REMEMBER GUYS
Its us to blame for jumping on this event not D3 for NOT TESTING Boss's XP against roughly same amount of players as took in last Avacyns event

You can only vote for positive changes with your wallet .....

    a) didnt see anyone who was constantly ignoring Avacyn hoping for other PVE event
    b) Flow of players joining QB was pretty much same in comparison
    c) common sense and past experience
