Buying my last cover

I have 4Thor and Thing sitting at 12 covers each. Is it worth spending the 120 CP on the last cover or should I just keep buying classic packs? Every part of me says to keep saving and hope I stumble on their last covers but that could take forever. Also who's more worth the ISO investment?

It's a complicated question when we don't have the full picture. What other 4* you have championed? What is your 5* game? What is your 3* game (both are championing rewards or at least Thoress is)?

My short answer would be not to use 120 (or 240) CP on them. That's 6-12 pulls that can net you 5* (well - should net you one or two but that's theory). If you have to choose - Thoress. She is amazing when boosted and paired with IM40. Can take literally any team in couple of rounds but is very bad on defense (mirror match up in the hands of the human is a breeze 9 out of 10 times). Getting 900+ without a shield is not an issue in PvP. When not boosted she is so-so compared to other top 10 4*. Still - she is top 10. While Thing is a tier lower - useful when boosted but not as much as her.

As much as it's a shame to sell the covers I probably would do that. If you have some other 4* championed but none of them is top sell just Thing and champion Thoress. Just tell yourself not to regret 6 LT pulls icon_e_wink.gif

I wouldn’t buy the 13th cover on a 4* unless I had covers dying in the vine. Like for instance, I’m trying to get to 120 cp so I can buy the last purple I need for my 5/2/5 Moon Knight, and the three covers in those maxed colors in my queue don’t go to waste. (10 days to get another 70 cp).

But like Magic said, it depends on the fuller picture of your roster. In my case I’ve got 17 other champed 4*. So it not like the missed opportunities of the 4 or 5 LT’s is going to hurt the efficiency of my existing options or gameplay. And I’m not in a hurry to go full on 5* just yet either, personal choice.

If those are the first 4* you’re looking to champ, I’d advise waiting, use the CP to start fleshing out your other 4 *’s . You’ll get there (and 4thor is a good choice to start with if you have a champ IM40). But it generally helps if you’ve got another 4* ready to be champed up after the first. (my first two were Teen Jean then 4hor within weeks of each other).

Atm I've got HB, Cyclops, starlord, the X- force boys and Electra champed. I've got GR, IW, Fury, and Prof X at 13. Obviously Thora and Thing are at 12. The rest are slowly coming along with a handful sitting around 8-10 covers. The only usable 5* I have is OML at lvl 315.
So like most people it's an ISO issue that's holding me back. If I don't have the right 4* boosted, it's become very difficult to hit 900 in PvP. I know the best play is to just keep saving iso and cp for when I get all the covers I need but it just seems like I'm in a state of limbo. Progression is just soooo slow with iso demand the way it is right now.
When the opportunity comes to champ a decent 4* I get very eager to do so even if it's not in my best interest in the long run. Just gets difficult trying to progress but don't have the roster for it.

Hm, here’s the thing (no Ben Grimm pun intended): with HB. Cyclops, Starlord, and Xpool you already have strong red power 4*’s, so Thor’s main attack power isn’t really crucial yet, beyond the weeks where she’s boosted and you need her for a PVP. She’s not filling a gap in your arsenal, she’s would be backing up a spot. If you’re going to champ her, it would be for her blue stun, which is admittedly pretty great. Thing is in a similar spot. His defense and green damage are nice but at the end of the day, its still another single target damage dealer, of which you have several champed at 4* lvl. Plus, using a champ Thing when boosted makes it harder to trigger his yellow.

I would not spend the CP on either then. Use it for new LT pulls for more covers and hoard your ISO until you get AOE 4* ready to champ: Rulk, Teen Jean, Quake, or Iceman (who would fulfill a stun option too). That’s what you’re missing from your 4* “team”, and what you should be focusing your efforts on when they come up as progression rewards in events or appearing in vaults.

If you pull the last cover you need for 4hor, then by all means champ her. She is great. But don’t spend CP for it.

Appreciate the input guys. You've talked me into saving iso and saving cp for tokens. I'm convinced that's the smarter move.
