arlinn kord tangleclaw werewolf toughness bug?

playing as arlinn kord I transformed to her embraced by the moon.
my tangleclaw werewolf reach side defended down to 9/3.
I then use moons embrace level 2 and got a tangleclaw 8/7 (I think)
I was expecting toughness of ~2-4. (so maybe 8/4)
is there a calculation mistake?
