Did you guys fall asleep and forget to put something there for us to blow our crystals on? No themed packs, no upcoming PWs should we be getting upset or should we be expecting bigger news this week? Kala-tinykitty-desh?

I got a message that Gideon II was now in the Vault, but yeah, the Vault is currently empty. Looks like a server issue. And, yes, they obviously fell asleep, if they're around the EST timezone, because it's about 5:00am right now in Toronto. Would be 2:00am in California for reference.
  • It's only ever had 2 planeswalkers "coming soon" in a UI clearly designed to fit 3 in. So that feature they added has now run its course, but atleast we had it for 2/3 weeks. To be fair it was information overload being able to anticipate the next two PWs I should be thankful for the rest my brain can have now.

I'm just joining the pool of player sick of being left in the dark with the direction of the game. It gives us nothing to look forward to. New players could come in and think the game is dead this week!

I'm sitting on 200 bucks that i am ready to spend for one week now. But no black friday offer, no crystal sale, no bundles, no cyber monday, not even an answer to my thread in the suggestions section about this .

And now not a single f-ing offer in the vault?

    Really?

When players get frustrated just because the developers don't give them an option to blow their money, they are doing an horrible job.

I was thinking the same thing about Black Friday. They put G&G and Grim Flayer on sale, ie. two exclusives at once, both "regular price". I think they should have tested the waters a bit and put them on a one-day sale for 15% off, see if it generated more revenue.

Keep in mind it's not the Devs making the actual decisions though. I work for a software company and we have wonderful ideas on how to make the software better. Whether or not management agrees to the changes is a totally different story.

Honestly i don't care one bit. Just replace "devs" with "decision makers".

Im actually a sucker for mobile games with a collection aspect. I've played many many similar games already and i left most of them after short time because they often make your progression stop at a certain point where you cant succeed or even play without spending real money.

That is not the issue with MTGPQ though. The rewards and free content are absolutely satisfying for me. Also they don't have a thing like "energy timers", where you need to pay real money if you want to play more than 3 matches in a row, which is the case for many other games. Actually I find the idea of mixing MTG with Puzzle Quest genius like and the game and its mechanics has been done very well in my opinion. I don't even care much about bugs and other things many players are complaining about. Most things they do for the community ingame (coalitions, events, special offers, ...) i find absolutely satisfying as well.

It actually reminds me of one particular game that also had a card collecting aspect and i had also played for a very long time. The reason I left this game after i had pumped so much money into it (which made this a very tough decision) has been the same which has me close to leaving this game as well: Horrible community interaction

If a game makes me save my evening or even weekend time for it just because i enjoy playing it so much, it means that i am quite involved with it. So i do care alot what is happening to the game, how "decision makers" are interacting with the community and how it is developing overall. If these aspects start to disappoint me more and more, i will have less fun playing it, this again will make me become less and less involved with it. And this will result in me quitting the game at some point.

And it wouldn't even take a lot to make me stay and keep spending hundreds of Euros. If the community manager (or whoever) would just be more active in the forums, answering questions and informing the players about issues that are being acknowledged and worked on, posting previews what events, special rewards, patches and special offers are coming up, i would keep playing with no end in sight.

But the fact that they don't do these things at all and players are being left in the dark about EVERYTHING and relevant questions are being just ignored makes me more and more frustrated and feel like quitting.

Why can't they give a statement about why some players have to pay a lot more for their product than others?

    Like here: https://d3go.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=54081

Isn't this considered a legitimate question from a customer that has spent hundreds of Euros on these products? What is the problem with it?

It makes me feel like they give a sh*t about customer satisfaction.

After the big disappointment with no sale last week which i mentioned above i somehow got excited for this weekend again. I even took a day off at work for tomorrow because i was planning to burn the 200 bucks i had kept from the disappointing last weekend on todays special offers, whatever it would have been (Dragons Hoard, 25k / 500 / fatpack bundle / new planeswalkers, archetype packs, ...). And now there is f-ing nothing in the vault? So again no big purchase from me and no deckbuilding and grinding on my planned MTGPQ holiday. A simple announcement that there won't be any special offers this week would have made it already just half as bad. I for sure won't be spending 200 on usual crystal purchases to even reward their idleness. Instead i will now use the time to look for alternatives because 200 is a good budget to start off with another game, even if I would prefer to just see them start caring and then stay because of this.

    To the Devs:
seriously guys, it should be required by all employees of this game to browse this message board for at least 15 minutes a day during work hours (and get paid for that time). In order to keep this very active community engaged all it takes is 1 post a day from a dev. That is not asking a lot, just a minimum of 1 post per day (so if devs make 3 posts in a day that does not mean they can take 2 days off). The posts dont even have to be answering questions or anything, just post something, anything at all, would prove there is care for this game. You even replaced your community manager recently, so Brigby this is your chance!

If only they read the forum they could see this excellent argument in favour of reading the forum.

Still nothing new in the vault.
Starting to worry about this game...
  • I couldn't agree more Rob. I've spent a lot on this game and would continue spending if they could take the money we're giving them and just get it fixed and offer more. I currently can't even access my account. When I log in it starts me at the newb page with no other options. Even before this I was having moments of wanting to move on due to the overpriced packages or lack thereof. This may be the end of me and d3.

These are the sorts of stories you get from companies that go bankrupt - customers that wanted to buy products but the company wouldn't let them.

It's totally unforgivable for virtual products.

I feel like the reason they have emptied the vault is to whet the appetite for some ginormous and exorbitant anniversary sale. If people spent right up to it, they might feel bad and not end up spending on the biggie. This way, players have less choice to spend money beforehand so when the sale comes around, "Treat yoself!"

if that's D3 marketing strategy, it ought to fire the entire marketing team right now.

The right way to lead up to a BIG ANNIVERSARY SALE is to have small teaser sales items along the way.

Currently, the teaser sales items is at ZERO.

Remember this motto: If you have nothing for the customer to buy, he will spend it on your competitors.

I think you guys are overthinking this.

They are having huge server problems now it seems, and they probably just removed the less essential parts of the system for now so that they can concentrate on fixing the core of the game.

What good are sales if people can't even log in?
