Where do I go from here?

I'm a long time player and I'm at the spot I think a lot of MPQ lifers must be at where we've plateaued in the game.

I'm at SHIELD level 73, I have 14 4*s champed (most of the top tier except Nova and PunMax), all my 3*s champed, my 2*s in a champ farm. I also have a Level 360 (1/2/4) OML. I finish in the Top 50 in PVP without much effort and Top25 if I use shields.

But, where do I go from here? I don't even know where to put my ISO anymore. I have 11 mid-low tier 4*s cover maxed, but are they really going to be game changers if I champ them? I also have a 2/3/2 Goblin, and a 1/4/2 Surfer, but I worry with GG and SS, if I level them up it will change my MMR, but they won't be strong enough to compete and I have no idea when I might get more covers for them.

There have been many, many great improvements in the past year (Champ levels, Shield rank and Clearance Levels, PVE is way more enjoyable, etc), but the dilution of 5*s and reliance on RNG to get them make any chance to move to the upper echelon of players extremely luck (or $$) dependent.

The chances of getting a Dev response on this are unlikely, but as the two most viable options seem to be 1) Hoard LTs and CP or 2) Retire, I would love to hear from forumites in a similar situation on what they're doing.

Bump, I'm in the exact same situation. Looking forward to suggestions. I am currently opening classics until another is added, then I think I'll hoard for the latest. In the meantime, I'm finishing mid-tier 4stars for champ level rewards whilst opening legendary tokens.

Yup I'm in the same boat. Just champing 4* as they come along. All my 2 and 3 are champed and farming.

Everything else is on hoard mode.

Currently at 91/300 goal LT pulls.

Yeah, at the same stage. But it feels like the sweet spot in the game. You can demolish pve with your developed roster. You can climb pvp pretty rapidly. And the game is pretty enjoyable because you have so many tools.

So yeah, it doesn't feel worthwhile to me to transition to 5* land. I think I will cover max a 5* or 2 then call it a day. 3-4* transition was brutal. I do NOT want to be a 4-5* transitioner. There is no real benefit to it that I can see. But many, many consequences.

Same boat! Lots of champed 4*s, all champed 3*s, and champ farming all 2*s.

Slowly winning some 5*s, but none of them with enough covers to matter yet, save my lv 420 oml, which hasn't been improved in many, many months and has already drawn some dupes for black and red

+1 in the boat. Multiple 4* champs, 360 1/3/3 OML who is doing a job for just now filling that whole when I don't have a boosted champ. A couple of others with 6 or 7 covers which doesn't make them appealing enough to put iso into, and with the dilution in the tokens, I fear they are liable to remain as trophies.
Attempting to gather 300 odd pulls seems the only way forward there, but I don't know if I can be bothered with that.
I think my plan for December will be to play pvp, ddq and then only pve if there is a 4* cover in progression that is really useful. And then run more (seriously, I need to do more running. Signed up for a marathon in May, so this will be a base month for me).
If I get enough iso in amongst all that, I'll champ someone cool to play

1. Champ them all. Every single character at every star-level and every tier.
2. Rule the world.
3. Then take a weekend off and learn French, or something.

This is a good answer for why they release new characters so often. Its a good short term goal to have while the long term goal keeps changing. I too am there, where I now need to be more discerning with which 4* I champ next, where I used to only have a few characters fully covered. The only fully covered non champed 4s are Brock Venom and Carnage. I had a cover for each of them and happily sold them. Only other option aside from hoarding and retiring is being cool with selling covers.

As for where I go, I just joined a new alliance, went from a top 150 pvp to top 50 pve. That change helped shake up the game for me, kept me motivated to do the grind for pve placement.

Same boat. 14 championed 4*, 11 4* at max covers. I try to prioritize them and max each going one at a time. Meanwhile I open LT to have an operational 5* at some point. Since I have heavily invested in Strange vault I open latest in hope I can get Strange fully covered and Bolt/BW well covered. So far not much luck there (over 15 pulls without 5* in a row).

But I am fine selling covers for 4* that are not on the priority list. At least for now.

Sadly I don't have an answer about what to do next. Since my 5* game is **** I just continue with 4* in hope I will reach a point where I can clear PvE in under an hour and get 1,2k in PvP with 1-2 shields. That is my ultimate goal. So far - not so good
