don't know if this is allowed but posting

Our son was born August 19th we knew had tof but we did not know about TAPVR. We found out the day he was born he had tapvr. When he was born we thought hed be in hopital around a month then we would be able to take him home. Well because of combination he had to have his first surgury oct 9th. was going to be sooner but he had liver issues. Surgury one was estimated 6 to 8 hours it went for 18 1/2 hours he had to have a conduit put in he also has an abnormal cormary artery he had to come off on ecmo whih is like long term bypass most kids only are on it for couple days he was on it for 2 weeks
then 2 weeks after that we had the scariest call our lives. He had went into septis shock where whole body starts shutting down
The doctors told us to get over there now because he wasnt going to live through the night his kidneys took till around december to finally start working again normally. Then we found out he had muscle build up around the area they attached the veins so december 11th he had to have another open heart surgury to remove the muscle that surgry only went for 4 hours and he came off ok then. Next hurdle was his breathing tube he had it in so long it took 3 tries to get it out and the docotrs didnt even want to try a 3rd they wanted trach but we opted againt it and wanted to ty at least one more time. he finally came off and was able to stay off. At 7 months old and one day he got to come home for the first time ever. He just had his one week check up and said within the next 2 months he will need a conduit he has replaced
he has a conduit in that wont grow with him so hell need it replaced when he grows the conduit replaces pulminary valve we are looking for any help as we drive 2 hours for his appointments and needs another surgery within 2 months here is my help site for him

  • Looks like a scam...
  • Look at Facebook page and tell me I don't have a sick son
  • Looking at your post history tells me a lot more about whether this is a scam than a Facebook page...

    FYI...

This is the guy who was trying to sell hacked accounts on the FB share group a few months back. (And he lied and lied and lied all throughout that process.)

You can see the last names match up: gofundme.com/helpingvincentlucchese and the user name matches as well (seppe).
  • He's also an admitted hacker and claims to play clean now. I had/have my doubts.
  • Wow... not sure about the scam part but the story is very realistic. Last week I spent a few days observing the nurses in the PICU and there are some really sad stories in there. This forum is not the appropriate way to ask for help, but if that is true I am sorry to hear of your struggles.

The only sad story is that his country doesn't have universal health care.
  • If his story is true its sad cause not many will believe him now.

Really? The surgeries listed would cost like a million $. At least definitely more than $100k apiece...

No one ever said that universal health care was a free lunch.

You realize we're in a thread where someone is begging for money to pay for his child's health care expenses, right? Show some respect.

This is a cookie cutter scam thread in my humble opinion.

... I'm not saying that I don't believe you, I'm just saying I feel bad if this is a true story. However, spending that long in a hospital, you should at least understand certain HIPPA codes and realize that no one can call and ask about any details (such as how long someone was in the hospital). I'm very sorry to hear about your struggles, but there are many channels for financial support for people in your situation. You really need to contact the hospital's social worker and figure out a better plan than posting a donation link on this forum. I'm not suggesting this to be a jerk, I'm suggesting it because it sounds like no one in the hospital informed you.

    *pshu?
Do you mean PICU (pediatric intensive care unit)?
