Fix Carnage

Carnage's power, Alien Instincts, is woefully broken. It states that "Whenever a power is fired, Carnage creates 2 friendly attack tiles and 2 enemy attack tiles." That's fine IF it actually worked that way. The power states when a power is FIRED. Unfortunately, the developers have included countdown tiles being placed on board too. That power isn't firing, it's just a countdown. When it reaches 0 and truly FIRES, THEN this power should take effect. It creates a real issue when facing the mindless Hammer/Shield/Symbiotes, since they are placing countdown tiles constantly, but not actually firing a power. Making this power more specific to the actual USE of a power, (even those with a countdown attached like Cap's and DD's stun powers which activate then countdown to collection or relaunch), would make this passive much more accurate and palatable. Right now it's annoying as hell getting a ton of attack tiles for no powers being actually fired. A countdown is just that, not a power until it reaches zero. Please consider fixing Carnage to be acting in the way his power is described.

  • Unfortunately, that is technically a power firing. For instance, take IM40's Recharge. It's a power (much like Unibeam is a power), but it's initial effect is placing countdown tiles.

    However, I absolutely agree with you in general that Carnage is ridiculous with goon characters. Just a really terribly-designed character overall.

    was just coming here to post that, aside from this going off way too often, could they change it so the animation only goes off once per match and then go to a banner throughout the rest? tired of the wasted time seeing him jump at me 3 times a turn.
