A question about point refresh

Ok I've been with the game for quite a while now, but there is one nagging thing left I'm still not 100% on.

Are the refresh timers for PvE nodes based on the first or the last time you did them?

So for example, let's stay we have an 8 hour refresh cycle, and I first do a mission at 1:00. Now, if I do the mission again at 4:00 - do the points refresh at 9:00 or 12:00? I like to chip away at the stacks throughout the day, but I'm beginning to think that is why my PvE rankings stay so abysmal (often not even Top50 results with a Lv100+ 3* team and not too unmangable scaling).

This has been answer before and i will answer it again. PVE node have stacks, 5 to be exact. So at 5 stack you will get 100% reward for that node, 4 stacks 80%,3 stacks 60%, 2 stacks 40%,1 stack 20% and if you clear all 5 stacks you get 1 point. Each stack have their own refresh time. This mean is you complete 1 stack at 1:00 and another at 4:00, you will get 100% reward at 1:00, 80% at 4:00 and at 9:00 you will have 4 stacks back and at 12:00 get a full 5 stacks.

So if you are going at stack at random time you have not let all your stack to fully refresh and not getting maximum point for your effort.

In your example, you'd get one stack back at 9 and 12 but not the whole refresh so the way you're playing you're probably getting 60% or 80% stack values all day. So yes your suspicions are correct, by doing the missions sporadically like this it's not ideal. It's better to wait 12 from your last clear so that they all refresh and you get full rubber banding.

I find the easiest way to figure out your stacks is first find someone who has figured out the points for all the base value, and then leave one mission (say, the very first one) alone after you beat it once for the unlocks. For example in the Simulator Basic, the points worth the most is worth 170 while the first mission is 50 points and this ratio is consistent, so your 170 point mission (2 of the required characters one) should have value a bit more than 3 times that of the first mission when it's at max stacks assuming you let the first mission refresh to full and never do it. This is easier than trying to remember when you last did something.
