I so want to tackle the shield Sim now for thise strange covers...the two week wait though...shield Sim should let you lock in your points once you hit progression.

Go for it. There should be enough people out there for you to get 70 point matches at least until you reach the first cover. Being knocked down again just gives you more of an opportunity for covers and ISO when you climb back up.

My philosophy on the Shield Sim is to coast along a few days behind the leaders. Every couple of days, do a full set of nodes for another 250-350 points, not being greedy. 3 steps forward, one step back.
