Roster in Sig.

I finally maxed out my Champed 2* Storm. Is it time to sell her and roster 2* Cap to get covers? I usually use Mags/Ares/Hawkeye for DPD at this point and just sub one of the others in if I have to.

Any advice on my roster in general is also appreciated. I'm sitting on 5 Legendary tokens and I'm still trying to figure out what teams work well together. I just champed a bunch of my 3*s in the last week or so so it's all new to me.

Thanks,
-EF

If you are still using storm much in pvp/pve it might be good to hang onto her for a bit. If not well her and keep cycling through more two stars. Keep hanging onto this legendary tokens though. You want to have a large number of three stars champed and all of them rostered. Once you get there it's time to start working on four stars.

I'm not using her at all, so I figured moving on to Cap would be good since I have Steve champed, and then once Thor is done sell him and start on Marvel since I have her 3* champed too.

If I may - the goal to achieve a steady progression is to have all 2 and 3 rostered (not counting Bag-man). You get 2* to champ level and recycle when you can replace the one you sell with it's one cover version (I always wait for at least one cover so I am not without it when it's required in PvE). So selling Storm to roster Cap makes little sense (but rostering Cap to get his 3* covers makes a lot, just not instead of Storm but next to her).

You have 3 5* on your team - they are clearly not helping you with the PvE scaling. I would keep stashing LT and CP - extra 4* or 5* are not going to speed up things for you and you will lose HP to roster them or have to sell them. The HP is better used for 2 and 3* at this stage.

Also rostering all 2* at this stage of the game should not be that complicated (the HP flow is fairly strong between PvP and PvE - just don't waste any on health packs, excessive shielding in PvP and packs). When you have all 2* championed no cover goes to waste. As you have noted they give covers but also plenty of extra HP and CP. With that you can move full on to have all 3* rostered and eventually championed. Having that is very rewarding as you use all the covers you get.

If you want to enjoy the game longer there is no short cuts to progression - playing a lot and setting realistic goals is what keeps a lot of people going.

I'm going to echo and agree with what Magic said above.

I started in November of 2015 so I'm about two months ahead of you. I'm currently in the middle to late stages of my three star game, I've got about 2/3 of the three star characters championed and all of my two stars farming for me. I had a bunch of spots taken up by under covered, less powerful four star characters and someone recommended that I sell them to get my two star farm flowing. The logic is that by the time the four star characters are actually going to be useful, you'll have gotten the same covers multiple times.

At this point, Electra, Ghost Rider, 4 Luke, 4 Falcon and X-23 aren't going to really help you for a while. I would get rid of those five and use them for the first five 2 star characters that you get covers for. You'll still be missing two characters, but your two star farm will be on the way. If you need more roster spots, you could sell off a couple of your two covered 4 star characters or drop a twenty for a few roster spots. Either way, it's going to hurt. If you're considering selling off four star characters with two covers, I'd consider Thing, Drax and/or Winter Soldier, though both Thing and Winter Soldier have their uses (I really don't have any experience with Drax, but he's not well regarded on the forums). One other note on your four star characters, hold on to Jean Grey, Hulkbuster, Peggy Carter, Red Hulk, Nova and Cyclops. Those six along with Punisher Max, Iceman and maybe Starlord are considered the cream of the crop in four star land.

I think Magic said it, but at this point, I would recommend using HP only on roster slots.

Finally, regarding roster spots, you will be getting an Invisible Woman as a daily reward soon. I recommend making a roster spot for her as you've got two more covers coming from your daily rewards in short order. Same with Devil Dinosaur, you'll get three of his covers in a row on your one year anniversary so plan ahead and save a spot for him as well.

    Good luck!

Saving a roster spot for Devil Dino is not good strategic advice. He's a joke character that nobody uses seriously for anything.

Miles Morales and Carnage - how do they rate?

I've got Miles championed, and he's so-so at best; he's got a nice cheap red stun, but otherwise I don't use him much.

I'm not much of a Spider-fan anyway, so he might go then. I've been enjoying playing Carnage in the new event though.

Just pulled 4* Deadpool, is it worth selling Miles (or Carnage) to roster him?

Roster in sig not 100% up to date.

XFDP is great! Great abilities, and with the self-heal, I use him a lot. (He might be a top 5 4* for me, top 10 at a minimum.) Certainly better than either Miles or Carnage, so do prioritize DP.

I'll add that looking at your roster, you might want to think about selling your 144 Storm sooner or later. (Not necessarily now, though.)

I did, I'm using her slot for 2* Cap so I can champ him and get covers for 3* Cap.

I see Medusa is a progression reward coming up, is she any good? She looks terrible to me, she's all passive.

Medusa looks very good on paper. She can completely destroy anyone who creates a lot of special tiles.

Okay, so I'll be able to buy another slot soon and I can sell 2* Thor for another space. I have Carnage rostered already, Medusa coming up as a reward, and Spider-Gwen and Kingpin waiting.

    Who do I keep?
