Possible solutions to Dupes

Looking to create a cohesive constructive post regarding the matter of Dupes, which I am sure everyone has thoughts about.
The TL;DR part of this is simple. There seems to only be two real solutions to improving the situation of duplicate cards, and they are as follows:
1. Duplicates should have a bigger reward than they do currently.
2. There needs to be a system in place to reduce the likelihood of duplicate cards from paid boosters.
If changing the system is not possible: Increase reward
This part could be simple. Duplicate rares and mythics should convert to crystals instead of runes. Perhaps 10 for rares, 20 for mythics.
If the system can be changed: Option 1: A third currency
<Insert cool currency name> is gained from converting rares and mythics, and then perhaps spending this currency to directly purchase a rare/mythic. Benefit of this is an actual guaranteed way to get the cards you need for your deck. Drawback is allowing wallet warriors a direct method for building their perfect strong deck in much less time.
If the system can be changed: Option 2: Ensuring non-dupes are obtained for paid packs
Another simple solution from a non-developer standpoint: Build into the purchasable packs that single packs guarantee one non-dupe uncommon, Fat Packs guarantee one non-dupe rare and big boxes guarantee one non-dupe mythic. Other rares and mythics obtained in the pack can be dupes, but the guaranteed one is built-in to never be a dupe, thus at least providing one card that would be new to a users collection. Still resulting in a slow gain of new cards, but still potentially abused for those who can dump lots of money into the game.

Before any changes are made to how dupes are handled, all currently held dupes should be automatically converted under the current system to ensure fairness.0

I mentioned something like this to my coalition, but simpler.
Rather than converting duplicates for Runes, just save them and trade it X tier cards for 1 card in the next tier, i.e. trade 10 duplicate uncommons for 1 non-duplicate rare.
In the case of duplicate mythics, those trade for crystals.0 -

Aye, but for someone like me who did not speculate and who absolutely hates the intrusion on the inventory screen, I've converted all of mine. So actually, I could have had the same amount, or more, dupes than you do and I and others like me, won't be able to benefit from it at all, which would suck.0 -
Solution for majincob and nitymp is indeed possible in a vacuum: make runes the mid currency for anything that will be added.
Meaning that cards will have to be converted to runes first and then to whatever new benefit they introduce.

Except d3go when people cash in their millions of runes.
Just bring back basic packs purchasable for greater amounts of runes. I'm thinking about 6k runes per pack.
Nitymp doesn't feel ****(he wasn't, in any case), and majincob can decide what he wants to do with his dupes.
Then we can concentrate on the task of dealing with the complaints from people who opened 300 basic packs in 1 night and got only dupes demanding their runes back.0
