9th in fearless defenders at the moment, well done all0
-
Pretty awesome! Everybody remember to play tactically and shield at the right moment and stuff, or nyark will chew us out!0
-
Definitely having a more difficult time with this pvp event. I am only at around 500 points right now. I am guessing it is pretty active as one can use any hero and since Hulk rewards are more rare. Glad that as a team we are keeping a good spot though. I think I may be in a tough bracket for new pve event, but only time will tell for sure.

I feel my banner is now absolutely perfect. Agree/disagree?0

Unfortunately I do not think I will make top 10 in Fearless Defenders, just seems to be way to much competition and I am stuck between 550 - 600 points. How is everyone else faring?...

Nice going guys , i think we made top 10 in the pvp.
3 Hulk covers and i got a shiny **** backscratcher to boot0 -
Great job all! Little disappointed the alliance reward tiers were only 1 then 2-50, we were definitely near the top of that 50
Lost Dingo: do you know about tanking and all that? It really helps a lot for PVP0 -
Nice job Sakk, Congratulations!
Nyark, I agree it would be nice if the alliance tiers were broken up a bit more, since last I checked, we were top ten. I do know about tanking, though I probably do not use it as much as I should. I also finished pretty well in the Hood PvP, so that likely did not help me much. I am not too worried about Lazy Cap covers, so I may use The Best There Is tournament to tank a bit, thanks for the advice!
And again, great job all!

Excellent work once again y'all. Got a red and a black Hulk, so I am happy. Now for that red lazy Cap in TBTI....0
-
I know somewhat about tanking. However, can someone give advice as to the best way to do it?0
-
I usually tank during lightning rounds.. Win a few missions to get the first couple rewards then use a really weak team on the last battle to let people beat up on it. The more you lose the lower your matchmaking ranking goes.
I also read that you can retreat in prologue SHIELD Versus and lower your ranking that way, not sure which way is better.0 -
I have also heard that lightning rounds are good for tanking...not sure about the retreating option as I have never used it myself...I heard they fixed retreat tanking in pve, not certain about pvp stuff though...
On a side note, we are currently ranked number two in the Unstable ISO-8 event!...Awesome Job Everyone!

What the Hell happened to our alliance? There were 10 members last I checked; I leave for forums for a couple days and suddenly we're sitting at 20? Not sure how that happened but I'll take it. With a team of this size--and quality--we shouldn't have any problems getting the alliance cover for quite some time.
I'm currently sitting at #1 in my bracket for The Best There Is, laughing quite hard at everyone who sold off their Astonishing Wolverine--a level 169 Wolvie absolutely kills it! Level 5 Adamantium Slash tears through opponents for 5,605 damage! I'm also finding that no one is attacking me.Dracodad wrote:I know somewhat about tanking. I echo that Lightning Rounds are the best place to tank. It's good because depending on your schedule you can do this for several events in a single day and tank quite a bit. It's quite fortuitous that there have never been any alliance prizes for Lightning Rounds which means you can tank without hurting your alliance teammates.
The trick is to get in there as soon as possible to you can fight a seed team. The seed teams are the ones that have the basic featured character and then two 1* teammates, generally at level 1, 2 or 3. You can tell it's a seed team because they have 0 points. Beat the seed team using the basic featured character--if you have your own version make sure to select the basic one that the game gives you for the event--and your lowest level characters. I currently use a level 6 Ares and a level 6 modern Hawkeye but it shouldn't really matter as long as the levels are low enough that you seem like an easy target for people to attack. After you win using your tank team stop playing the event. Sit back and just let others attack you so you lose points and your MMR goes down.
I've heard from others on this board that a really good tank character is Bag Man because (A) people love to beat him up because he poses no threat and (B) he's become the universal symbol for "I'm tanking" which means they can attack you without fear of retaliation. However, I'm not wasting a spot on Bag Man and I get by just fine without him so it's certainly not a requirement.0 -

We had a bit of a recruitment drive with lots of awesome players who were willing to join us and help us further our goal of world domination, also to play lots of MPQ! I'm still amazed. We're currently doing VERY well in Unstable (which doesn't necessarily mean that much yet, but it does look nice), and we're now top 20 in TBTI. I love it.vudu3 wrote:I'm currently sitting at #1 in my bracket for The Best There Is, laughing quite hard at everyone who sold off their Astonishing Wolverine--a level 169 Wolvie absolutely kills it! Yes, **-Wolvie FTW!0 -
I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but we're currently sitting at #1 in the Unstable Iso-8 event. Granted, it's still very early in the event but it's a bit unbelievable. It looks like I may have to start putting forth some effort in this event; up until now I've only been aiming for the top 50 and putting most of my effort into The Best There Is.0

Yes actually, we've been up to #1 (and down again) a few times so far, which is indeed amazing. As I'm writing this we're at #4, a mere 8K behind the current #1. There's still three days to go, but wouldn't it be nice if....0 -
I'm not going to get too broken up about not winning. I never joined this alliance with the intention--or even hope--of coming in at #1. That said, if we're this close and we don't get it I sure as Hell don't want it to be because I didn't put forth the effort.
I'm currently #1 in my Best There Is bracket with just under 3 hours go to. I have an 802 rating and the next closest is at 725. Out of the top 10 players, all but #9 is shielded. Looks like I have a legit shot at #1.0 -
Yeah, it is just nice to see us up at the top...unless someone really needs the GSBW covers, I will probably use the Cap event to tank a bit in hopes of getting a lower MMR ranking for the next one. Other than that, I am doing my best to stay in decent ranks in the pve event. Good Luck Everyone!

Since there are 20 of us now you can tank to your heart's content and we should all still get the alliance cover reward. Unless everyone decides to tank we'll be fine--won't clear the top 10 but top 100 should be no problem. We're currently #9.0
-
Sounds good...I am hoping for some good rewards for the upcoming Widow tournament, so I want to try to get into a better MMR...I noticed we are currently number one in the ISO event again...always nice to see our name up there!
