Using existing abilities (call for Regeneration)

Hi all,

I was wondering about the regeneration ability.
I mean, first strike, trample, fly, haste, are all very well spread abilities.
Some creatures here and there have double strike, hexeproof, deathtouch, reach and lifelink.

hell, even defense, unblockable and the silly pair of vigilance and menace are all over the creature list (and vigilance and menace are really, totally, bad copies of defense and unblockable).

But Regeneration no.
Why.
Why creating and ability (and an interesting one for that!!!) and giving it to 1 creature, 1 spell and 1 PW in all the game.
There is even an icon (which other widely used abilities lack), even if it is almost useless since it does not shows the amount regenerated.

Can we have more cards with Regeneration (and all those abilities that got lost in time and space, like Madness for Black)?

Thank you all and good work!

And

I havent been playing paper magic very much sonce theros, but i do keep track of new cards during spoiler season. Having said that, i havent seen that many cards with regenerate on them actually printed in the BFZ, ORI, or SOI blocks. It just isnt that widely used of a mechanic as it used to be. Its not an amazing mechanic in puzzle quest anyway, so dont get so broken up about it.

Also, if you count Odric, he heals your creatures by 2hp every turn, which is really nice.

I believe Mark Rosewater said they are not going to be using the regenerate ability on cards in the future due to rules and flavor confusion. They will be using "indestructible until end of turn" instead.
