The 3 maintenance downtimes gave me adequate time and inspiration to come up with the following:

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Should I throw this event match... I want a new card dearly?
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
An event maintenance had come once more...

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, the maintenance gave no compensation token,
And the only words there spoken were the whispered words, “Wait some more!”
Merely this and nothing more...

And that cursed circle... never finishing, still is spinning, still is spinning
On that speckled black background, spinning forever more;
And its soul has all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er it streaming, throws it's shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies in boredom on the floor
Never shall I play this game —nevermore!

Edit: Sure why not, go upvote me in the actual submission thread below, I could use 2k runes. Who wouldn't like 2000 manarune.png?

    As the mighty mind mage Jace Beleren followed the clues left in Tamiyo's Journal, he struggled to find mana bonds when enguaged in a battle with the fierce Arlinn Kord. Jace transgressed his mind to find an answer but before he spoke the words of his final incantation, Arlinn released a final burst of energy as flashes of green mana resonated from her. The nearby trees began to wither, much as during the fall months and then fell to the ground. New leaves began to bloom and before Jace knew it, the corpse of a werewolf he had just slain began to regenerate and before Jace could react, everything froze. Arlinn had stopped moving, the breeze had stopped as well, and Arlinn exclaimed, "Curse you and your time magic!" Jace was baffled! How could this be, he had murmered no such words to cast such a powerful spell. As both planeswalkers were frozen in time, neither of them could do anything about the situation that had unfolded. THE END!
