For new viewers, that refers to the "Some Blade Event - Placeholder" post I originally had here.

The boosts this week are not great; with 3* Blade locked out of this event that smacks of bad planning. I have only one of the boosted 4* championed, that master of kill-your-own-team, Carnage. So I've been trying some odd combinations and strangely the one I'm having most fun with is loaner / Carnage / Nova. My Nova is "only" level 250 5/4/4, but his black strike tiles combined with Carnage's attack tiles, and using Rocket Man to send the last opponent into the air while I just collect AP, well, it's fun.

I'm going to stick with Carnage, mostly for the deterrence factor, and plan to try out Moon Knight, Miles, Captain Falcon, maybe 4* Deadpool, probably not Ant-Man, though why not.

One thing that a rubbish week for boosts has shown me is that I've developed a very narrow view of who to use (IM40 / Peggy was practically the only team I used all last week, for example), and I forget sometimes that the experimentation in this game can be fun.

And that's particularly true now that ones defensive team is what the game considers your strongest winning team. You're free to try weaker but perhaps more effective teams and not worry about them being your defensive line.

Though to be fair, if I had a decent OML (mine's level 265 2/1/5) and Phoenix (level 255 3/4/2) I'd probably use them all the time too.

The most boring PVP in recent memory.

1/1/1 4* Blade is just lame. I didn't have any fun with him whatsoever, and there's **** all synergy between the boosted 3*s this week.

OMLs (above 30k HP practically immortal) and IM 40 everywhere... annoying how PvP is p2w only. During my game time (almost 1000 days) i didnt manage to get max progress loot yet... pathetic.

So I rushed to champ Carnage in time for his weekly buff, but this event taught me that he's only really good for hops. It's good that I had to use the loaner Blade, so I only had to spend health packs on IM40 every 2 matches. Still, I ended up using Iceman+IM40 till about 750, which is where I started seeing meatier combos, including IW+Carnage. To my surprise, 938 placed me at #8. 10-12 scored 913 points.

Also, I think they could've called this event Tooth for a Tooth, just to complete the phrase started by the Cyclops event.
