This heroic was particularly brutal. I played whenever I could, but most in most fights, even against goons, damage taken was heavy. Waiting for health and health packs to regenerate is what did me in, for the most part. I couldn't really field a back up to the team I used (Torch/Hawkeye/Wolvie) because the levels of my others were too low. icon_e_sad.gif

I have to say though, that Modern Hawkeye saved my butt on many occasions when I thought I had the match lost.

Problem I have at the moment is most of my top characters are frozen where they are, level wise, and I have the worst luck with the RNG whenever tokens are concerned. I may have to break down and treat myself to a HP purchase to level some covers.

You said it! I ended up with 23k points in hard. Didn't even get the Heroic token this time.
  • Yea, my team consisted of m.hawkeye , storm and torch. Got Hawkeye to 60 so he did good damage if his countdowns survived. Thought about leveling a.wolv but decided to try out something new. Daken levels were especially tough.

Thanks for bringing me on board TropicYeo!

Yeah, I was using Storm and Iron Man with Torch the whole time. Buffed Torch black is kind of like Dr. Doom. Had to use stockpile boosts on the harder fights.

I don't know if it helped in this Heroic event, but I actively tanked in the Prologue Training to see what would happen. It's already making a HUGE difference in the matchups I'm getting in Smash Hit. Do you guys collectively tank on certain events?
  • No problem always glad to add active members. I have no problem if you don't have a maxed out 4 star but just be active in the alliance both events and chat.

Don't worry, I purposely stopped leveling my guys up because the scaling on this game has gotten out of hand. Keeping my characters at low levels gives me lower level enemies and I can get through the battles quicker. You'll notice that I have every single character available too, so I'm guaranteed to be not to be locked out of any mission. I also keep a large stash of ISO handy so I can level up anyone when needed. Mainly focused on maxing out my covers now.

Anyone get the Alliance daily bonus yet? It's a good way of seeing who's playing, because if everyone in the alliance played the day before, you get the maximum daily bonus of 450 ISO. icon_e_biggrin.gif

I'm about to spend the 1250 HP to bump up a cover, but wondering who would get more mileage from it at this stage, it's either a lazy cap (currently at 1/1/2) or Human Torch at (1/0/1).

I'm leaning a bit to HT, since he has the individual tourney at the moment, but both are needed in the current PvE event.

What do you guys think? Who do I give the cover level to, and which color?
  • Personally I would do Lazy Capt just cause he is such a good hero, but for the sake of our alliance do HT so you can get us more points.

It's really up to you though.

Are enemy levels based on your character levels? Thought was based on your win ratio.

I'd probably say captain too. Torch seems like a light breeze would knock him out. Even at level 100 his HP seemed to drop fast from just match damage

Yes, definitely. I started a new game on my iPad, keeping everyone at level 40. The enemies are ridiculously easy on all these chapter events. Tourneys seem to be mainly based on your mmr rating like you say.
  • so cheap, you cheater

Ha ha, we should all complain to the devs to scale the rewards as well. Then I'll level up my guys!

new accounts seem to have an easier time with the PVE nodes. So far my enemies are around 60-80 so not terrible yet. In fact, most fights end with me at full hp. Soon enough they'll rise up to 230+ again.
  • Currently 1st in hotshot! But I'm in walkyourpath's bracket. That dude's roster is seriously scary. I have not seen a lvl 190 Invis. woman before in anyone's roster before icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • some say walkyourpath is actually the son of a rich arab oil family, others say he won the lottery.
  • 900 in HT tourney. Not really feeling like pushing past that since it's such a grind. I'll work on The Hunt instead.

So far 120 in Alliance. Hopefully we can push to rank 100!
  • everyone did a pretty good job this tourney, let's shoot for those rubbish GSBW covers guys!!!
