Are my goals Realistic?
I am newer to the game and have been trying to do the simulator event. MY goals so far have been to place in top 50 for the easy sub-bracket and 150 in the Hard. I figure this way I can get a chance at a 2* cover for sure and a regular one from the Hard one. My Team is
1* Storm 5/3/2 Lvl 35
IM35 1/3/5 lvl 28 trying to get him higher
BW 2/5 lvl 25
2*
MN Thor 1/1/1 Lvl 9
Wolverine 2R lvl 11
Bullseye 1/1 lvl8
Ares 1R lvl 6
OBW 1 Black lvl 6
CStorm 1Y lvl 6
What should I work on and what should my expectations be going forward?

As new as you are I would not discourage you from getting top 50 if you can but might be best to merely try to get recruit tokens from as many nodes as you can manage as each of those still have a large potential for you. If you can place high enough in the main bracket to get the origional black widows she would really become a star player on your roster very quickly I think.
Putting Iso into IM 35 and finishing out he and modern storm forms a good foundation to start building out more 2*s from. I would leave modern widow right where she is though0 -
I know it is early but I am sitting in the top 100 of my main bracket which would get me 3 OBW covers0

I don't think your goals are unrealistic. You're doing the right thing - take a look at a tourney (be it PvE or PvP) and strive to achieve something that can improve your team. Top 5 or top 10 finishes can be difficult in the beginning when you don't have a healer and a fledgling 1* team, but a top 25 or top 50 finish is not unrealistic in any way, depending on bracket size (the number of players in your bracket).
Sometimes you surprise yourself and surpass your goals. Sometimes you fall short - it's competitive out there. Just remember, MPQ is a game of inches.
You have a solid core of 2* covers to build on. I would focus on either Thor or Ares, not both, and then try to get OBW involved - she will make things a lot easier for you with maxed out covers. I'd stay away from 2* Bullseye. C. Storm and Wolverine are worth investing in, but I'd make your initial focus Thor/Ares and OBW.0 -
Bullseye is only there right now cause I just got him during this Event and he is boosted. So I just throw him in to be a body to get an extra win or two.0

The way scaling works differently for players of different levels, it's a bit difficult to say what's realistic. But you can probably more or less keep up whatever place in the simulator you're currently managing.
You need covers, of course, but levelling up is going to be a big part of opening up your game as well.0 -
You are very much dependent on the luck of the draw at the moment.
Personally, C.Storm is my MVP. I bring her into almost every fight even when a boosted character is stronger. Once it becomes a matter of ISO rather than being limited by covers I would recommend her. She can be a life-saver in PvE battle where goons feed stronger enemies as her Blue can stun and damage and her yellow can damage on defense.
As far as this event is concerned, I would suggest you try to score those standard tokens and 500 ISO.0 -
Another suggestion for you - as well as doing matches in the simulator event, make sure you go back to prologue and work up to the final act!
You don't need to do everything in it, but there are several wolvie covers which get handed out as rewards for missions. people are down on him a bit because he's not as godly as he used to be (he got a nerf a while back), but for your purposes he'll be great once you have some more covers. Additionally, he's also boosted in this event, so if you can get those covers and level him a bit early, you could improve your standing significantly.0 -
Pay attention to how levels look at the end of a sub and plan accordingly. Hard will probably scale too much to compete in close to the end, but you should be able to clear some early on. Normal you should be able to grind some points out of thewwhole time.0

Question Now is with the New Sub being released should I start playing right away or should I give it some time? I understand you get placed in a bracket based on when you first start playing. Just not sure should I start out grinding a few nodes or wait?0
-
you should play right away otherwise as community scaling kicks in the nodes will become impossibly hard for you0
-
It's impossible to guess how far you'll come since the enemy scaling makes the game completely unpredictable. You might win one sub event and only get Top200 in the next one because the "reward" for doing so well is scaling that utterly destroys you. Just play as much as you are comfortable with and see what you end up with. I'd definitely suggest joining events early-ish. You can't afford to wait for community scaling to kick in.0
-
As everyone's saying, you're better off clearing what you can early. Check in before the sub ends and get points if you can. If everything's too high by then, good thing you cleared early!0
-
Not sure if you've been reading how point mechanics work, but the short version is play as much as you want, then leave nodes alone until the points refresh. Refresh time is 12 hours for sims.0

So I have not entered the hard version of the sub for this round yet as it has been a struggle going thru the easy one this time around. I was up to 3rd but started getting passed by every one that had a Black Panther and built up 2* and 3*. I have enough points and area to stay in the top 50. But what would be best for me to do with my team though. Stay in the 10-50 range and get the 2* token or tank it and get 3 recruit tokens? Also I have been pretty solid in the Main staying in the 75 rank area which should get me Three OBW covers if all stays the course.0

I'd get the 2* token and grind mission rewards for standard tokens.0 -
I didn't follow the low tiers, still have my doubts you had a good shot without the boss character. Anyone who has him even for 1 cover will pass you -- take that into account.
Meanwhile people with roster like yours and single covers with bosses appear in top2 of subs and even the combined due to #$%@#$%@ game design leaving everyone else standing -- guess figting lvl15 opponents instead of 100-150-230 ones rendered for the other suckers.0 -
I too recommend trying to complete as much of the prologue as you can0
-
one other thing besides trying to get as many tokens as you can.
grind as much iso as you can, you've got to get your levels up as high as you can.
also, M Storm is especially dangerous in the desert and jungle. her red is pretty cheap and it will drain all the environment tiles, in the desert this will allow you to create a bunch of green tiles which in turn fills your green AP which destroys a bunch of tiles and refills your red. you can get it to the point where this is an endless chain and doesnt allow the other team to get a move in.
jungle works the same except you sacrifice 100 health for ap in every color. dont worry about the 100 health, the other team will likely do that damage to you in the next turn without the benefit of getting all that AP.
I was able to kill off high level hulks in previous events when my levels we still pretty low.
I think you are setting your sights on a good goal, not sure wether you can attain it but just keep pushing until you do. Going through the entire prologue is good advise but I was about half way through it when I started to get decent rewards in events.
Also dont get distracted by the other 1*s for now. IM, MBW and Storm is a great starter team.
Another thing about rewards, only go for the 2* awards until you get your 2* team going. even if it looks like you could get a 3* reward if you pushed, placing 51-100 in Lord of Thunder and getting 3 ares covers will do so much better for you in the long run. 3* characters are weaker than 2*s at the same level. so it will take a ton of iso to get a 3* in usable shape. lose if you have to in order to not accidentally be bumped into the 3* tier.
add one more note about team makeup. everyone has a OBW but that doesnt mean you will get the covers for OBW. She doesnt show up in a lot of events so it's entirely random. What I'm tying to say is that you don't know which characters will be first to get all 13 of their covers. Try and get as many 2* covers as you can and focus on the team you have right now rather than the team you want to have. I was pretty unlucky with getting Ares and OBW so I ended up with a C Storm, Thor, Iron Man team for a while and then eventually transitioned MN Mags into the Iron Man slot. Not the ideal team but it was strong enough to get me to my 3* team. I still don't have friggin OBW.0
