Best tradeoff in 3* CP spending vs covers?

After a lot of searching, all the advice for spending CP seems to be "don't! save it!" with a few outliers saying it could help for the 3* transition.

I am moving from 2* to 3*, and still don't have any 3*'s champed. I'm 3 away on BWGS, and have 4 green covers for her sitting in my queue. Is it worth spending the 60 CP to get her missing covers, since then I can use the 4 outstanding covers + do better in PVE? I feel like the return on this could pay off, in that it will get me moving again on PVE and lead to higher rewards.

Thoughts?

Edit: Putting this another way: Is there a world where it makes sense to spend CP for a 3*, since I'd be throwing away a high number of 3* covers if I don't do it?

    It can be worth it to buy a couple covers for some key 3 stars, but I wouldn't think that GSBW is one of them unless you have a working Charlie's angels team. I'd agree with buying one or two covers to champ Iron Fist, Cyclops, Luke Cage, or Kamala. For anyone else, I'd say sell the covers and champ them later.

    No, don't spend CP on her.

    Just max champ OBW, sell her, re-roster her, max champ, rinse repeat.
    You'll have a champed GSBW in no time.

    If you are only 1 cover away from 13/13 go ahead and do it. Otherwise I would hold off. I'm in the 3* conversion myself, and used cp to get a final cover for IM40. Because I was holding 4 covers of him. 60 cp seems like a stretch though just to get powers. Save it for tokens.

    And woah - I hadn't even thought of this. She's a consistent part of my roster, though, so it seems like I should hold off on doing this until I get someone else I'd play in her place, right?

    Collect 13 covers when she's 144, sell the 144, roster the new one, champ her with the ISO you get for selling your max champed one.
    Do this with every 2* character, it pays off in the long run - we call it the 2* farm.
