How do I compare?

Today is my 500th day playing MPQ and I am curious if my progression is ahead or behind other players with a similiar number of days playing. Let me also point out that I've played off and on since 2013, so it's not a continuous 500 days:

29 x 3* Champed
4 x 4* characters at level 190 (Fury, XForce, Hulkbuster, IW)
28 x 4* characters at levels 70 - 131
12 x 5* covers (6 characters)
*no need to mention other characters

I usually rank between 20 - 50 in PvE and PvP and earn about 20K to 30K ISO per day

I'm only replying because day 500 was yesterday for me. You probably don't want to look at my roster, though; it starts at champion 5*s (though no, I don't think mine is close to typical for the timespan).

You're doing pretty well. You're may soon hit a transition point where higher MMR will make your PVP experience rather harder, but so long as you stay the course, and keep pumping ISO into finishing 3s and selectively getting good 4s, you should be fine.

I'm nearly done with 3* characters, mostly working to level up 4*. I've chosen not to roster everyone because of the HP and ISO cost. But I'm collecting and leveling up most 4* characters.

I can only assume that you've spent a lot more money than me playing this game. I think my total investment over 3 years has been about $200, which was for HP to get roster slots. I also find that I can usually rank near players that have a roster far better than mine.

I am also right about 500 (having taken off most of the summer due to insane scaling on all my events and Pokemon-mania). I have all the 3*s that I want champed (have no covers of some that I may go back and grab later) and I've got a nice little 2* farm going. I recently officially shifted my mindset from "OMG, 3*s" to "officially in 3-4* transition." I think I'm usually top 100 in PVP. I always hit the 10-pack token in the season, but I don't practice shielding, so I never top out individual events or season progression. PVE can be really hit or miss - like I said, I had really messed up scaling at one point, so I stopped grinding a lot of events because it just wasn't fun. Getting back into the habit of playing those.

    29 x 3* Champed
1 x 4* characters at level 180 (Dino (I can feel your judgment. I had covers for him and no one other 4* at one point, and he earns his keep.))
    1 x 4* characters at level 150 (X-force)
    27 x 4* characters at levels 70 - 131
    5 x 5* covers (4 characters)
*no need to mention other characters

I'm a pretty casual player, though, in a fairly casual alliance (super frustrating on boss events). I think I spent $20 or $30 bucks or so early on, on the rationale that I would have paid more than that for computer games I don't play as often (All into HP for roster slots).

Also, can someone answer a question for me? What does MMR stand for?

It's really hard to measure progress. The bar keeps moving up. When the bar moves up, it gets easier to level up character and to get covers of a certain tier. I started when 4* were just starting to be introduced. The 3* progressions was a lot harder for me because there were no ddq. No clearance levels, very little boss events, etc. I think as the game progresses it will take less and less time for new players to level up to the 3* tier.

If you do this consistently, you're on the right path.

I don't think your roster is typical for someone whose been playing twice as long as you. Looks like you have found the right alliance and taken all the tips and tricks from these forums and applied them positively to your supercharged roster. Nice job!

It's not the size of your roster that counts, it's how you use it. It may not be true, but it helps people feel better.

MMR stands for "Match Maker Ranking", which is people's way of referencing the unknown algorithm which matches you with other teams in PvP.

Hmm, 500 days for me was almost 300 days ago. Right around champion day or so?

    On champion day I had:

    (1) taken the prior 2 months more or less off (playing ddq for tacos on most days, and sniping the occasional pve or pvp event)
    (2) all 40 3*s cover maxed in their ideal builds, leveled from 120 to 160 depending upon usage
    (3) 5 4*s fully covered, but none level higher than 20 for scaling reasons (IMHB at 202 was plenty to score 1k when I wanted it, and the extra iso and PVE scaling didn't seem worth the tradeoff)
    (4) several other 4*s well enough covered for their crash nodes. (I don't think I was unable to finish a 4* ddq in the first cycle until Flaptain)
    (5) an iso stash of approximately 1.2 million iso

Direct comparison isn't really possible since champions, 5*s, and even ddq were not available for much of my early roster building. I would say that you are near the average for a serious player, but probably not in the top quintile of hardcore, non-whale players (let alone the the top 1% of people who have spent for real 5*s).

Day 229 (so almost half 500)

33 x 3* champed (will be 34 in the next day or two)
    0 x 4* champed
    40 x 4* characters at levels 70 - 131 (most closer to 70 though)
    15 x 5* covers (8 characters)

I whaled pretty hard my first month or two to get to a point where I had most of the 3* and 4* roster and have been keeping up with new characters. My spending has all but stopped (did spend a bit on the anniversary vault though) I'm also a bit obsessive icon_e_geek.gif

    I am close to day 600 (598) 100 days ago I had:

No 5* more than 4 covers, all at 255 ( all 5* rostered)
    3 4* champed (all but 3-4 rostered)
    32 3* champed(all but 2 rostered)
3 2* champed (only those 3 permanently rostered)
1 1* at level 30 (jugs at 30 is enough to win do every day)

Since then, with the help of shield rank iso, I have:

A couple 5* at 5 covers, OML at 8 covers and level 363. (All 5* rostered)
7 4* Champed (all but about 6 rostered)
    38 3* champed (all rostered)
    7 2* camped (all but 1 rostered)
    1 1* at level 30

I am not free to play, but have spent only about $200 all on hero points or vip, most of that spent on roster slots.

I will be able to answer you in a couple of months. But for now, I have most 3 stars champed, most 4 stars rostered but with few covers, some rotating 2 stars and didn't keep any 5star. My ISO is 700k, HP is 1100 and CP is 900 or so.

I think you're doing just fine.

    I'm on day 868. I have:

    22 champed 3*
    32 4* between 70-147.
    7 5* covers on 5 characters.

I didn't discover these forums until I'd played for a couple years, and definitely made a lot of poor choices along the way. Like others have said though, new players can level way faster than we could a few years back.

I'm on day 501 but play less than you. I don't have the time as much:

    https://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/sapster1990/

    This is my roster

    31 3*s champed
all 4*s except the newest three (gwenpool, Luke Cage, Blade, Who I will get from PVE progression this week) They're in various levels from 70-168. I'm focusing on finishing 3 * champing.
11 5* covers. So pretty comparable more or less.
  • Day 197:

    15 champed 3*'s (highest is level 174)
    6 5* covers across 5 characters
highest 4* is an 8 cover Dino (most of my 4 *'s are in the 3-5 cover range)
    93 roster slots filled

I've learned from your comments that progression nowadays is much faster than when the game first started. So, a lot of my 500 days was spent during the slow years of 2013 and 2014. I've noticed that my progression is faster now than ever before. I've quit and come back 3 times now....and each time I come back the game is a little better than before. They've invented more and more ways to get ISO and covers. Alliance rewards, DDQ, Champion rewards, SHIELD Rank rewards, VIP rewards and even Progression rewards didn't exist when the game first started. When I've played the game, I've been very dedicated and probably progressed faster than others, but a lot of my time was spent before this boosted reward era we're in now.
