Sorry to take this off topic but do you actually enjoy the game that way? Are you able to play with your 105/106s against mostly 85s or have you been competing in the 141 ranks for a while now? It seems like it might be a little more fun to actually wield the full power of your fully-covered heroes, but maybe that's just me (and a lot of others). Sorry if this sounds disparaging, I don't mean to criticize your method at all, just wondering how your experience with the game is as compared to my own. If you prefer and don't mind, feel free to PM me in response instead of derailing the thread.

I'll come back and edit my post with my own levels later after I can pry the ipad from my daughter I finally got my whole first page to be 3*, but don't expect my averages to be too high overall. Wish I did this earlier to see how I've been progressing, but I guess it's never too late to start.

This is much more fun. I like the flexibility of having more than a dozen people I can bring into any battle potentially, and it allows me to try a bunch of different combinations. Playing with the same handful of 141s all the time sounds unbelievably boring to me. This arrangement is also much, much stronger for PVE, which - despite its problems - I still prefer to PVP (mainly because PVP is terrible and boring regardless of what you do). I'd place PVP not only behind PVE, but LRs, and if there was enough to keep me busy (and getting covers and hp and iso) without PVP I'd abandon it altogether.

I can take on 141s with my team; to be honest, I don't find them that much more difficult than the typical 85 team. To be honest, I'd rather fight a 141 Punisher than an 85 Ares, Thor, or OBW. Due to tanking, though, I mainly fight 85s. This is much less because I want to fight them, and more because it takes me off the radar of the 141s, and I don't tend to get the random 40 point hits from 141s until I get over 900 points.

I like my method a lot. To be honest, the way a lot of the people play the game around here doesn't sound even slightly fun to me.

Between the time I originally posted this and I updated it, my top 10 went down by one level and my overall went up by one level. How did my top 10 go down? That is literally impossible without selling a character, which I don't do anymore.

I felt it appropriate to necro this thread given the appropriateness of hitting this milestone during anniversary week.

The average level of my top 10 hit 166 as I finished leveling The Hood this morning.
The average level for my whole roster is 99.3.

My 4*'s are all still pretty meh - Fury is capped at 152, and Wolvie only has 6 covers. I'm debating leveling my 12-cover IW just so I can be ahead of the curve if she ever gets a buff (and so I can get my average top 10 level over 166). I'm going to hold off on that though until after the cover rotation in heroic packs and hope to bust out a Fury with one of my 2x 10-packs or 40-some singletons.

This thread would be more useful/interesting of we also included the average level of the initial nodes in pve. It would show how much weight each average affects scaling. It probably make more sense to do for a regular pve than a heroic pve.

Top 13 now are mostly 91, with 2 90s. It's actually a different 13, with the 5 2*s capped at 85. 3 3*s Soft Cap at 102, 6 at 115 (including two hard caps), 2 at 128, 2 at 141.
So:

I've got everybody now. Actually, my X-Force Wolverine is up to 1/3/1 and about to get a second yellow from daily rewards.

Top 15 are 96; Loki is 95 (and should be 96 by the end of the day). The varsity squad right now is: Spider-Man, Lazy Thor (soft cap at 102), X-Force Wolverine (SC at 107), Loki, Rags, Doom, (HC at 115), Hulk, Hood, BP (SC at 115), IM40 and Psylocke (SC at 128), and Lazy Cap, Patch, CMags, Punisher, and Daredevil (HC at 141). All other 3*s and 4*s are at their SCs, ranging from 20 (Sentry) to 91 (IW). The 2*s and 3*s haven't changed, though if none of the lower level 3*s or 4*s get new covers by the time I hit 100 I'll probably finally level Bullseye to 30 from 10 (he's the only one below 30).

So:

Overall Average: 70.19

Wow, it's been months since we did this.

Note:this will only be valid for the next few days, since Friday is token day and that should get me 120k ISO, in addition to whatever else I get between now and then (which could easily be again as much, given anniversary week).

Top 18 all 155, with 3 more at 153 who'll be bounced up once I get the ISO. Varsity is X-Force, IW, plus all 3*s except the newest (Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Beast, Colossus, Doc Ock). CM and DP both need a single cover (plus a respec for CM), Colossus 3, Beast 4, Doc Ock 5. Also, Lazy Storm needs one, and Classic Mags needs two, all for respec. Fury's stuck at 1/1/1, and Dino at 1/1/3, but I haven't put any ISO into him yet. X-Force is fully covered (needs a green for respec), and IW is 3/3/3 (and I've sold a bunch of yellows).

All 1*s are fully covered and maxed; All 2*s fully covered, with 5 maxed, Dakenette at 80, 3 at 70, 4 at 60.

So: Top 22 all 153 or 155 (CM is soft capped at 153)
Overall average: 111.57
Need 14 3* covers (plus 4 more for respec), 11 distinct, and 22 4* ones (though at least 4 of those are coming up in daily rewards soon), plus one for respec.
